Best brace I’ve ever had
I’ve bought several braces trying to find one that suited my need the best and this is it. This one has a stay on the back of the wrist which is exactly what I wanted. It has a stay on the front, back, and lateral sides of the brace which offer by far the best support of any other braces I’ve tried. I also sleep with it on and it does a great job preventing wrist pain

Excellent Distal Radius Fracture support
Definitely recommend this company! This Aircast wrist brace is made well and fits well, even with wide hands, and offers excellent support of the wrist while allowing me full finger and thumb movement.Fine tuning the fit:• Don’t trim the palm strap velcro, tuck it under the wrist strap so it doesn’t catch on everything.•Do trim the wrist velcro, again so it doesn’t catch on everything.• I recommend a stockinette base layer to absorb sweat and keep the brace clean.• I also recommend a cast cover to keep from catching the straps on various items.•The brace wipes clean easily but cast covers help there too. That recommendation said; I am also using Dr Brace overnight, post week 3 of healing, for a relaxed fit overnight with a microbead pillow for support while I sleep.I am also using the ACE wrist brace for more athletic activities such as handling the dog. It is more restrictive and makes the ulna ache under the strap buckle and restricts my thumb and makes it ache badly. However the ACE wrist brace provides fantastic protection against further breaks from direct hits on the arm (when I dropped a cast iron pole on it) and through gardening efforts and being bounced by the manic enthusiasm of a large young dog. I will definitely use the ACE brace for more hazardous activities until the fracture is healed. These three braces together are making this time to heal much more comfortable than the last experience.I expect to use the Aircast brace post healing for the next year or so while dealing with the dog.

Take it from a guy who knows...
EDIT: While the rest of this splint was incredibly great, the metal splint on the palmar-side broke through the material in 2.5 weeks (17 days), which appears to be a problem other reviewers cite. In addition, this issue led to a lot of wrist pain for me because it was not staying in place, effectively undercutting the other awesome qualities of the brace that I mention in the review below. But it was great until that happened! (😭😭)I have a rare condition that means I've worn a LOT of braces by a ton of brands on most every part of my body at one time or another. I injured my right wrist years ago, which meant I wore a brace on it for years, before having surgery that fixed the problem. Now I'm having the same thing on my other side. I mention all this bc I want you to understand that I know what it is that I'm talking about when I tell you that this is my favorite wrist brace I've ever used. It's comfortable, stable, easy to put on and adjust with one hand, and is thankfully not reliant on anything stretchy like certain fabrics or basically anything elastic. See, when you wear a brace for awhile, anything elastic or with any measure of stretch eventually stretches/wears out. This means that the brace stops doing its job and becomes less and less effective at doing what it's supposed to do.I also would like to mention that thus far, it hasn't become totally swear-soaked when I wear it all day, nor has it been so waterproof or non-absorbent that it leads to discomfort or itchiness. I can take it off after wearing it for eight hours and not be uncomfortable putting it back on again, the way that I can be uncomfortable putting braces that are lined with fabrics like Terry cloth or cotton back on (because they end up cold, clammy, and still wet even hours later sometimes).Overall, I'm just very pleased with it, and it's holding up remarkably well!!!

Comfortable Support
My unfortunate fall required me to use this air cast. I used after the splint cast for a buckle fracture in my radius bone locatedin wrist. For six weeks the cast projected my wrist with comfortable support. Easy to place over injury and remove for showering when velcro straps are loosened. If the straps could be shortened with the same support it would avoid the extra hanging velcro getting caught up on other materials. Helpful worthy product.

Amazing!
FINALLY! A brace that actually prevents me from bending my wrist while wearing it. I have a chronic wrist issue and occasionally need to not use it for a few days at a time for it to recover. This is the first brace that has metal that conforms to the shape of my hand on the top and bottom, and can be cinched tight enough (without cutting off circulation as others have done) to actually prevent me from using my wrist. Essentially this works as a removable cast, just like the name implies. My second favorite aspect of this is that it does not have a small "thumb hole" so to speak. With all of my previous braces, the stitching would painfully cut into my skin when cinched tight and eventually cause my thumb to go numb from a lack of circulation.

Disappointing
To be honest, I really thought this was a great product when I first got it. The construction seemed good and it is very comfortable. However, not even 2 months in to using this the splint on the underside of the brace started bursting through the end. This is not the quality that I was expecting and I will not waste my money on another product from this company.
