I carry this charger as my back while using my surface. I love the carrying case. It works wonderfully, no problems so far.

The item came as described. For those who had problems with their original Surface Book/product adapter, I feel this one may help. I bought this one of the wall plug in addition. My main problem from the original adapter was the fact that material near the block continuously frayed. Those product use a similar material, however the wall plug addition shortens the length and when you “wrap” or store it away it has a less chance of the outer material from fraying. It’s cool that with this product, It accommodates to my environment. HOWEVER, it does heat up quite a bit and I did not like that.

The travel bag that came with it will be great.

While it was working, it seems to be okay. Material quality does seems the same as the one with comes with Surface. It comes with a traveling bag which makes too much noise. It doesn't get too hot. Extra end to attach directly to adapter is a nice addition.Yet the charger lasted a little shorter than a month. It made a POP noise when I plugged in, and just stopped working. No apparent damage, no big explosion or anything. So I don't recommend it to other users.

I love the charger so far. I've had it about a week now and it is working great.

It has the compact ac plug & to my surprise an interchangeable wall cord that is longer than the OEM cord. I lost my original charger & love this one even more. Will buy a 2nd for a backup! :)

This is the third cable I've purchased for this device. Every time the connection between the wire and the (stupid) specialized connection to the tablet has failed and shorted out. It is obvious that this one will fare no better. It wouldn't take much (in the factory) to reinforce the connection, but all of the things I've tried after manufacture have kept the stupid connection from mating with the tablet. There has to be a way.

My only complaint is that the cordless AC adapter that plugs into one end of the charger feel apart after light duty. I was able to super glue it back together and it is still ok after a couple weeks of use but it should never have happened. Wiring inside was very light as well but I have never sensed it feeling like it was over heating.
