Priceless Facts about Money (Mellody on Money)

I found this delightful book such a refreshing unique presentation for children and adults. As a person of color I was excited about the cute but at the same time realistic images of the characters. I’m pretty sure this feature is motivating for younger and older. Readers. The discussions were instructive and age appropriate for all readers.

This book was full of fun, laughter, education, and simple information that helps kids and parents understand the basics of money. Thank You for this amazing, fun, and simple read. Highly recommended!!!

Very easy to read for kids and clear to understand.

I gave this book to my great granddaughter who read it and started using the negotiation technique on her father. He didn’t understand why she was very helpful around the house and told him her extra actions should be worth more money. I read the book before I gave it to her so I recognized what she was doing. When I told him about the chapter which included negotiations he understood. The book explains how our money works and how credit works and the difference between wants and needs Excellent for people of all ages My great granddaughter is 8

I genuinely learned about the concepts of money through this book. Thank you Ms. Hobson for writing this book for adults and children. I will let my grandchildren read this book so that they will have better knowledge about saving and investing in money.

i saw ms hobson interviewed on CBS Mornings and immediately ordered 2 books for my 11 yr old grandtwins. now its arrived and i have read it. this book is brilliant! its an easy to read format with paragraphs of dialogues interspersed with super great illustrations. its about history, cultures, banking, bartering, and a red string. i am excited that this is perfect start to the ongoing discussion about finances.

We gave this with a gift card to each grand child. All 7 loved it as much as their parents.They each told us how they were going to use the card as recommended by the book. How much they were saving, giving and spending.It resulted in many great conversations around interest earned, philanthropy and spending.
