Pleasant surprise . Nice innovative design
I was looking for a mouse with no strings attached :) I did quite a lot of research and settled for this one . There are lot of devices which are probably better with objective functionalities but are way costlier . For reference I have been using wired g402 for over 7 years now it has all the frills and extras but I might prefer this . Some of my reasoning .- The form factor is amazing , it weights only 60 gms without battery (with battery maybe 80 90 , don't have precision scale to measure ) . The body resembles apple's magic mouse and takes some time getting used to especially if you are coming from claw design but it is really relaxing grip . I have long fingers and can extend from base to the end without needing to curve and is a very relaxing position to hold on to . My wrist hurts due to decade plus of bad posture and bad usage . This allows me to use it with both hands and doesn't tie me to close proximity , also freedom from wire just feels amazing . My finger tendons have already gone thick from heavy usage .- The silent clicks , it's click are refreshingly silent and can only be heard if you take mouse near your ear to hear it even in middle of night . The tactile feedback on each click is very enjoyable . I am a fan of this tech and hope some day all mouses will be this silent .- The innovative design part , its top half is a plastic sheet and is attached by magnets , it is very easy to remove and place back . Also the wifi dongle can be placed in the slot provided .- Not sure about the battery performance but from quick napkin math , if one uses heavy duty AA Alkaline batteries , device might give around 50 / 60 days of performance for daily avg usage . Even avg estimates of one cell per month doesn't seem all too bad . Li on rechargeable battery option would be better and cheaper in long run .- Connects almost instantly once the pairing is done , after powering on / off . I am not sure if the device features a low power / idle mode to conserve power and there is no info so I am guess not . Also it could get a bit annoying to turn it on / off after usage when you come from wired mouse .- Most mouse are either blue tooth or wireless and lots of user complains that they were misguided when buying . Partially their mistake for not doing enough research but still it should be clear what kind of connectivity a product offers . This has both and it conveys that information properly . A very nice switch on the rear side , the middle switch which toggles wifi on top / on off in the middle and bluetooth in the rear end . Blue tooth connection button needs 3 second press down to start pairing ( a bit anxiety inducing when your new shiny mouse doesn't show up on the bluetooth menu )Some cons :- The scroll feels stiff , heavy handed .- No side buttons for quick back / front navigations .- No programmable buttons or any software support , my old mouse has enough functionalities and scripting capabilities to work as a hack for most games or other usages . This could be a plus if all you want is a simple mouse .- Limited dpi options 800 / 1200 / 1600 . Should be enough for most use case still needs a mention if you are used to higher refresh rates , I personally used 2000 + .- Wireless seems faster and appropriate for gaming over blue tooth , which obviously has a bit higher latency , if you are into gaming . Also for obvious reasons it has fixed polling rate .Still a good product for the price ( bought it for 1200 ) , it is odd how the color changes prices so much .

A Stylish Blend of Functionality and Silence -ASUS Marshmallow Mouse MD100 Steven Harrington Edition
The ASUS Marshmallow Mouse MD100 Steven Harrington Edition is not just an ordinary wireless mouse; it is a combination of style, performance, and quiet operation. This limited edition mouse, designed in collaboration with artist Steven Harrington, stands out as a unique and fun addition to any tech setup while maintaining solid functionality for everyday use.Design & Aesthetic:What immediately grabs attention is the vibrant, art-inspired design. Steven Harrington’s playful and surreal style is imprinted on the mouse, adding a touch of personality to an otherwise mundane tech accessory. The compact, lightweight build (weighing just 56g) makes it ideal for portability, fitting comfortably into backpacks or laptop bags without adding bulk. The feel in the hand is comfortable, especially for those who prefer smaller mice, and it’s an eye-catching accessory whether you’re at the office or working remotely.Silent Clicks:One of the standout features of the MD100 is its silent operation. The buttons produce virtually no clicking noise, making it a great choice for quiet environments such as libraries, meetings, or late-night work sessions. This “silent click” design delivers the same responsiveness without the distracting noise of a traditional mouse, which can be a game-changer for professionals who share workspaces.Adjustable DPI and Performance:Functionality is where this mouse continues to shine. With adjustable DPI (Dots Per Inch) settings, ranging from 800 to 1600 DPI, users can easily switch between precision tasks (like photo editing) and general browsing or office work. The sensitivity adjustment is a useful feature, allowing for customized control depending on your task or personal preference. The optical sensor is highly responsive across different surfaces, including mouse pads and standard desks. While it’s not a gaming mouse, the performance is more than adequate for general productivity and creative tasks.Multi-Mode Connectivity:The MD100 is versatile when it comes to connectivity. It supports both 2.4GHz wireless (via USB receiver) and Bluetooth, making it compatible with a wide range of devices from desktops and laptops to tablets. Switching between devices is seamless, and the setup process is straightforward. The multi-mode functionality makes it a solid option for users who juggle multiple devices regularly. However, it should be noted that there’s no USB-C dongle included for newer laptops, which is a minor downside.Battery Life:ASUS claims an impressive battery life of up to one year on a single AA battery, depending on usage. For most users, this means the mouse will run for months without needing a replacement. The battery compartment is easy to access, and the mouse features an automatic sleep mode to conserve power when not in use.Ergonomics:Due to its small size, the ASUS Marshmallow MD100 is better suited for users with smaller hands or those who prefer claw or fingertip grip styles. For larger hands or those who require a more ergonomically shaped mouse for long sessions, this might not be the most comfortable option. However, the weight and portability make it a go-to mouse for travel or on-the-go use.Drawbacks:While the Steven Harrington design is a definite plus for those who appreciate artistic collaborations, it might not appeal to those looking for a more minimalist, professional look. Additionally, the lack of an included USB-C adapter could be inconvenient for users with newer devices. Conclusion:The ASUS Marshmallow Mouse MD100 Steven Harrington Edition is more than just a visually appealing gadget. It blends essential features like silent operation, multi-device connectivity, and adjustable DPI into a portable, stylish package. For those seeking a compact, quiet mouse with an artistic flair, this limited edition is a fantastic choice. However, users with larger hands or specific ergonomic needs may want to consider other options.Rating: 4.5/5

Stylish and Silent Mouse with Minor Usability Quirks
I recently purchased the ASUS Marshmallow MD100 USB Mouse in Astro Beige, and overall, I'm quite pleased with its performance.Pros:Design & Build Quality: The mouse boasts a sleek, minimalist design with a comfortable grip. Its compact form factor makes it highly portable, and the swappable magnetic top cover adds a touch of personalization.Silent Operation: The buttons and scroll wheel are virtually noiseless, producing clicks below 20 dB, which is perfect for quiet environments like libraries or late-night work sessions.Dual-Mode Connectivity: The ability to switch between Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity provides flexibility for various devices.Adjustable DPI: With DPI settings of 800, 1000, and 1600, it caters to different sensitivity preferences.Cons:On/Off Button Placement: The on/off switch is located on the underside of the mouse, which can be slightly inconvenient for frequent toggling.Pokde.NetFlat Profile: The ultra-slim design, while aesthetically pleasing, may not provide the most ergonomic experience for extended use, especially for users with larger hands. Conclusion:The ASUS Marshmallow MD100 is a stylish and functional mouse that excels in silent operation and portability. While it has minor usability quirks, such as the placement of the on/off switch and its flat profile, these do not significantly detract from its overall performance. It's a great choice for users seeking a quiet, travel-friendly mouse with a modern design.
