Works fast for pit bull grass allergy
2 days. My Blue Pittie went from whelts and blisters all down his bald little belly from grass allergies and bright red gums and yeasty paws to completely normal in 2 days. We had him taking Benadryl because the vet wanted him on Apoquel, which is crazy expensive and can have health consequences. He doesn't like the taste and won't eat them till I smear some PB on them, then he gobbles them right down. I'm so relieved. It was breaking my spirit to see him constantly licking and scratching and just feeling lousy -- because hims LOVES to roll in the grass!? Now he can!? Unbelievable.Side note: he's had difficulty with going #2 -- strains and takes a minute. This issue is also showing signs of improvement very quickly.

Great for seasonal allergies!
I am a retired veterinary technician and have a dog who has seasonal allergies, and food allergies. His symptoms consist mostly of scratching at his face, and chewing his feet. The food allergies have been controlled by putting him on a limited ingredient diet. The seasonal allergies usually started up in April and last until November, and required antihistamines. Last spring my vet convinced me to try the prescription medication Apoquel which is an immunosuppressive. At first it seemed like magic, my dog had zero allergy symptoms. Then after being on the medication for a few months, my dog developed a histiocytoma (a benign tumor) on his lip. These are typically seen in puppies and young dogs - my dog was 4 yrs. old at the time. These usually go away on their own after a few months and that is exactly what happened - no big deal (other than a trip to the vet to confirm that it was in fact a histiocytoma and not a more aggressive tumor). Several months later, while still on Apoquel, my dog started chewing on his right front leg, up near where the leg and body meet (his front "armpit" if you will). He was also shedding like crazy - HUGE amounts of fur. He ended up with a large area of hair loss and red angry looking skin on his right front leg. He would not leave it alone. This happened after the allergy season. I bought a sleeve to keep him away from it, and took him to the vet (again). She did a skin scraping to check for bacterial infection, yeast infection, or mange which were all negative, and then suggested putting him on prednisone (another immunosuppressant) in addition to the Apoquel and Zyrtec. I told her I had been reading up on Apoquel and some of the side effects included histiocytomas and demodectic mange. I told her I was going to pull him off of the Apoquel (which needed to be done by weaning over a few weeks). She suggested I could try a dose of Bravecto which is used for fleas and ticks, but also is very effective in treating demodectic mange mites just in case the negative scraping was due to a low population of mites. Within a week of getting him off of the Apoquel and using the Bravecto his skin calmed down, and at that time I noticed that his entire coat was thinning - more noticeably on his right side. Once he was off of that nasty drug it took a few months for his fur to grow back. This year before allergy season started, I decided to read up on supplements for allergies. I chose Zesty Paws because of all of the good reviews, and the company's reputation. I started giving them to my dog in March and now well into allergy season have not seen ANY of his usual allergy symptoms. Also, his coat looks beautiful again!

It works, but getting my finicky dog to eat them is tricky
My dog is picky about "treats" and didn't like this product. However, I crushed it up with peanut butter and also with meatloaf and got him to eat the Chew. That said after consuming just four chewd his allergy itching and licking of his paws is about 30% of what it was a week ago. I can deal with finding ways to get him to eat the product with it working as well as it has.

my dog loves it – turkey flavored
I have the most finicky dog ever. She won’t eat the treats that are given out at the hotels or the vet. I bought the turkey flavored and she ate it and was looking for more.. I don’t know if the product works. The first thing I know is my dog would eat it. I’ll have to repost to see if she stop.Update: I’ve only given it to her twice and she has stopped and she is calm. So this product works and will buy it again before she runs out.

Be careful!
I gave my 9 lb Shorkie 1 of these at night before bedtime. The next morning he was having issues. He tried to walk and it was as if his rear legs did not want to move. He was definitely not well. Although that night before taking this he was fine. I Googled the side effects , and some had similar issues. Please beware. I hope my dog starts feeling better. I believe there should be some disclaimer with this product. I called the company phone number, and a vet was provided for phone consultation which was commendable. I appreciated the veterinarian being provided.

Life changing!
If I could give these more stars I absolutely would! I have two large, long haired dogs with what I would consider to be pretty severe seasonal allergies. The itching gets so bad during spring & summer that they were constantly licking, biting and chewing their legs & paws so much that it caused open wounds. Their skin was flaking off and their fur was falling out in patches, their eyes were red and mattery....they were miserable & so was I. Last year they ended up needing two cytopoint injections on top of the Zyrtec & Benadryl just to make it through the season and they still never had complete relief. I was admittedly very skeptical that these would actually work but I was also desperate (the next step was a stronger medication that is pretty cost prohibitive). I am honestly amazed at how well these work...I haven't changed anything else in their diets or routines and they basically have no allergy symptoms so far this season. They have not needed any injections or allergy meds & they still spend just as much time outdoors, if not more. They are SO much happier & so am I :) Definitely recommend!!
