Unbelievable Attic Fan...!!!
I had no idea an attic fan of this caliber existed until I researched online to find the best. It costs more than your cheap fans, but it is worth it. This fan is in a different universe altogether from traditional ones. It is so well made, and it is much more hefty and solid than the cheap noisy ones. This fan is quiet, yet powerful, and the 3 stages are definitely a fine feature. On stages 1 and 2, you cannot hear it from an adjacent room or the floor below. On stage #3, you can barely hear it in those areas, but it is so little, and it doesn't interfere with anything. You really have to focus and TRY to hear it. If you were having a special event and wanted the fan to not be heard at all, you could simply turn off the 3rd stage for that period. As for the app, it works flawlessly and seamlessly. This is especially nice because I cannot physically access the fan easily. The Bluetooth connection is good for 100 feet in any direction here at my house.I am rarely this pleased with purchases I make, but I cannot say enough good things about this fan.BUY THIS FAN...!!!!!

Quiet, powerful, bluetooth
I don’t write effusive reviews but this is one of those must have items for a home owner. You must have attic insulation, a whole house fan and a good gable fan. With that combination house temperatures moderate and your utility bills come down. This is a great fan. Quiet and powerful. It has long lasting bearings. Because it’s powerful I found it runs at a low speed a lot of the time which makes it quieter. And I like that I can connect to it with Bluetooth to see speed, temperature and humidity. It does have a bit of a funky Bluetooth pairing handoff scheme. Check out the manual.

Love this attic fan and control app
This is a great attic fan. The Bluetooth feature and app make it easy to configure and control. You can turn it on for a timed period (in hours) at high, medium, or low speeds. In automatic mode it turns on depending on temperature and humidity. And the app tells you what's going on. It's also pretty quiet. We can hear it on high, but not quite on medium, and not at all on low. It moves a good amount of air. Installation was pretty easy, especially if you can reach a plug with the long cord.

Seems to work fine, BT connection is horrible, App needs work
I live in South Central Texas, and am trying to fight the heat and HIGH electricity costs each summer brings to us. I live in a one story, 2500 sq ft house, but my attic is MONSTROUSLY large. So much so, its ridiculous. I recently had a new roof put on to include ridge vents. That's a story for another time. While doing this, I discovered my front gable vent was blocked off. Why? Just stupid, so I took it down, redid it, and opened it up. That helped, but not enough air was flowing. So I made a duplicate for the back of my house, and attached this fan to it.If it hadn't been for prime day, I would have bought the red one, but since this one was on sale, opted for it. I did want the 3 speed and energy efficient motor as well. It was easy to mount, but the location I had it in, and being 60, was not easy. But that is not a hit on the fan and its mounting, more myself. First though, I had to run a 50 foot wire and install a electrical plug for it, and that was the easy part. The fan does what it says it will do. All three speeds work as they should, and the temp sensor/reader on it is only 1 degree difference then the wifi thermometer I have in the attic already, so that is good.I did pay attention to the reviews and paired it with the app on my phone FIRST before hauling it up to the attic. This is the year 2023, NOT 2003 and I can't believe for this price, it is not wifi enabled. I can connect about 25 to 30 feet away and even then it has to think about it and often multiple tries, but it finally does connect. What the heck Quiet Cool? For this price you couldn't include wifi? Wow.And the App. Why, of why, will it not keep any history? Absolutely amazing. I have a BLink thermometer/timer that is wifi and it tells me EVERYTHING. Again, if this was $100 or even $125, no problem. But I paid a premium price for this 'smart' fan, which turns out isn't that smart at all.Noise? Oh yeah, but we have a covered, screened in patio and you can't hear it when it is on high..unless you go out from inside it into the yard, then we can. The air this thing blows is incredible. And it serves a secondary purpose of keeping leaves from gathering in the corner of the patio roof. Inside the house, only at night when every one is sleeping and I am sitting in the living room can I faintly hear it. On medium and low, not a sound.BTW...as mentioned, my attic is huge. Dragging this thing that distance was much easier by leaving it in the box. Now, I am a retired Marine and do like to munch on an occasional crayon, so if I had been thinking at all, I would have placed it thru the whole in the outside wall first! DOH! That was my Homer Simpson moment. Regardless, it is hot as H-E-L-L right now in Texas, so I am not for sure if this is really going to make a huge difference or not. I hope so, time will tell and I will update this review. Another reason I bought it was for the 15 year warranty. In 15 years, I will be 75 or pushing daisies, so that is a long time. I hope it truly does last that long....I have my doubts though, will see. I really wanted to give it 3 stars, but it is made quite well, just lacks in functionality. I will update this post in time.Good luck and stay cool!UPDATE: I decided to give it 3 stars. The Bluetooth accessibility is just ridiculous most of the time. They should have sprung for a $5, 2.4 GHz WiFi adapter. Very cheap and lame, especially for this price!UPDATE: Finally received my CPS electric bill and it saved me over $100 this month. With the average temperature being 2-3 degrees higher in the month of July 2023 from 2022, it has seemed to do it's job. So that's a big win for my AC and proof that the electricity it uses to run is FAR less then the electricity it saves. The connection still is extremely lacking and poor, no data collection, and no timer functions as a set for off and on at any certain time each day.UPDATE: As time goes on, it seems to get louder and louder. Again, on medium and low, not a single sound can be heard. But on high...it is a low, thump...thump sound that is constantly coming from that side of the roof/ceiling. It was mounted properly, no doubt. Going to be a real PITA if I have to pull it down and add EXTRA rubber grommets to it again. And again, the connection is completely hit or miss.UPDATE: Received my August CPS electric bill and although the August temps this year were much higher (record breakers since 1880) than last years August temps, my electric bill did drop once again. So it has made it worth the initial cost of the fan. We also feel that our AC is coming on much less now and our house stays cooler later into the morning without the AC coming on. Our July and August electric bills have dropped well over $125 a month from last year's bills, and the temps have been almost unbearable in Central Texas. It is still noisy and makes a whomp-whomp sound on high, and the Bluetooth connection is still very stubborn and unreliable, but I do not regret buying it. It has consistently dropped our temps in our attic at least 10-15 degrees! Fix the connection issue (wifi) and include some better mounting grommets, and this would be a 5 star item.UPDATE:It is now November 2024 (another record fall heat wave for Central Texas) but this summer was not NEARLY as bad as the summer of 2023! Regardless, this fan keeps going and going and has certainly lowered our electric cooling bill! I am raising this to 4 stars...but I will continually update this review yearly. I do not regret and am glad that I purchased it. I do recommend it.

Powerful fan, designed for easy, proper installation
I'm very pleased with this fan. It is definitely the expensive model for the category but I already think the value is there. The fan moves a lot of air. While it didn't state the "square footage" on product listing, on the box it says 4000 sq. ft. For me, it's in the attic of a 1930s vintage 1900 sq. ft. house, so it should be able to turn the air over rapidly and without effort - the 3-speed design of this one is especially appealing to me. We live in the deep south on the humid Gulf Coast. The best investment I've made in keeping the house comfortable in the summer was a light-colored metal roof. Even still, the attic isn't a place to be during July or August, so this will keep air moving.Installation was surprisingly simple. It helps that my vents were proper 16" with double 2x4 frames, which matched the fan design perfectly. The little black borders zipped right in, too. The control panel came properly pre-wired with a nice gauge, 20' 3-prong extension cord and I already had an outlet in the attic -- like it was meant to be. The test cycle went perfectly; bluetooth connection was seamless; from underneath the fan in the living room, I could still easily communicate with it. I've set the summer mode and should be ready to roll once the next warm front comes in.With it all said and done, I'm glad to have sprung for this model; hoping I never have to think about it for the next 2 decades....
