GOOD SONGS.!!
Giving this item 5 stars (even though there was a small issue with the upper left area of the CD case -BUT- by putting a small piece of gorilla tape over the issue, it is suitable for me). The main thing -IS- that the CD has NO issues and plays well in the CD player. Grew up with the Highway Men (Thanks to my brothers).!!

Unquestionably the "best" of the four singers - there of which are no longer with us
This is a "best of the best" type CD, for the four Highwaymen singers - and it achieves everything the compilers could have wanted in sixteen (16) songs. These include:* 1 - Highwayman* 2 - Silver Stallion* 3 - Desperados Waiting for a Train* 4 - City of New Orleans (Live)* 5 - Big River (Live)* 6 - The Last Cowboy Song* 7 - Live Forever* 8 - Born and Raised in Black and White* 9 - One Too Maning Mornings*10 - The Road Goes on Forever*11 - American Remains*12 - Against the Wind*13 - Living Legend*14 - Deportee*15 - Welfare Line* 16 - The King is Gone (So Are You) (Live)A great collection, Excellent reproduction and quality of sounds. If you like anyone o the four significantly important singers to American music culture - don't pass up this CD!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Not Bad, Could Have Been Better
It took until 2016 for a good single-disc best-of collection of The Highwaymen (Johnny Cash, Willlie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson) to be compiled and released as a companion to a massive live CD/DVD concert set. The producers picked the balance of the songs from their Columbia recordings, only taking a pair from The Road Goes On Forever which came out on another label. Frankly, I only remember hearing the classic Highwayman single on the radio. Looking back almost four decades, it seems puzzling why more wasn't asked of the principals instrumentally. You don't hear Waylon's snarling electric guitar, Willie's jazzy Trgger, or Johnny's chicka-chicka-boom. Although even KK sounds adequate and the rest are strong vocally, the result seems a bit slick. Many of the songs are very good and I'm glad to finally own a Highhwaymen CD, but that little extra that would have made them an all-time super group is missing. Four stars.
