Defective and not as described
I've been lucky with refurbished items in the past. However not with this keyboard:- Touchpad was defective.- Some keys didn't work.- The right shift key had a big smudge whereas the description said there would be no sign of cosmetic damage from 30cm.- The product photo showed a traditional return key, but the shipped keyboard had a horizontal enter key.Hence returning to Amazon.

Worth every penny
It arrived in perfect condition, without any scratches or damage. While it occasionally malfunctions with one or two buttons, it's still excellent value for the price and functions well overall.

Food in packaging
I bought two of these refurbed via amazon, 9ne was rated 'good' and the other 'excellent'Both did not match what I would consider good or excellent.The 'good' keyboard was beaten up, a bit difty, and during shipping loads of crumbs had come free from the keyboard and were all over the keyboard upon opening. In a word, eww. At least hoover the keyboard before sending to a customer...The keys felt okay but I'll opt for brand new in future. Too many quality control issues.

Worked instantly. Solved my problem
The keyboard of my aging Surface Pro model 1796 got wet on holiday. I have a job and needed to solve the problem quickly without spending a fortune. Took a chance on this refurb and it works perfectly. The keyboard shows a little bit of wear on one side but otherwise in good shape and works perfectly.

Great keyboard wrong layout
Disappointed with Layout Mix-UpThe keyboard itself is of good quality and functions as expected. However, I was disappointed to receive it with a US layout instead of the UK layout as clearly stated in both the images and the product description. This mistake is frustrating and inconvenient, especially when the layout was a key factor in my purchase decision.
