Finally Picked the Right Searchlight!!
The only similar spotlight that I can compare this product to is the Stanley 10W SL10LEDS Spotlight. I ordered the Stanley during a "Black Friday" sale for a Christmas gift on Amazon from but it was defective and thus returned. A replacement Stanley was not offered and I was told I would have to re-purchase at the regular price....so I went in search for another light....and I am glad that I gave this Wasing a chance! As compared to that Stanley the casing on this Wasing Searchlight does not appear to be as sturdy and it feels cheaper (of course it also cost much less). Since the Stanley 10W light never worked at all I cannot compare the light output or the beam. However, this Wasing Cree 10W light is very bright and pitches the light beam a very long distance....at least two hundred yards and probably more. The beam is clear and without distortions. I have no way of knowing if the Wasing actually generates 1000 Lumens but since it uses one of the latest and brightest CREE LEDs I feel certain that it comes close. Thus far I have only used the light about a half hour and I have not had the chance to discharge and recharge the batteries....so I cannot comment on how long the charging cycle takes. When I received the light I immediately placed it on charge and it took about five hours to fully charge. The on/off button glows red while charging and turns green when fully charged. The power cord is permanently connected and is stored inside of the light casing. Like other reviewers I appreciate that fact that I do not have a separate cord to keep track of. The hatch for the cord is on the rear of the light and is a little flimsy and feels like it could easily break....although it has not yet done so. The fact that the hatch stays on the light while open is definitely advantageous as it will not get lost.A possible downside to this light is that the batteries are built-in and not easily replaced. However, I have had a couple of LED flashlights and headlamps over the past year or two which also use rechargeable Li-Ion 18650 batteries and none of my batteries have failed, so this may be a moot issue, at least for a few years. The ergonomics are good. The light feels well balanced, easy to carry and the on/off button is located perfectly. The LEDs which are located in the stand are said to be an emergency lantern, if the light is set on it's tail or front it can be used as a work light, which I have done.Overall, I like this light and have already recommended it to friends and family. At almost half the price of the other more well known brands I would state that this light is a great bargain and probably out performs many of them...

You Can Stop Looking Now..........
I've only had my Wasing Cree 10W spotlight for a short time and haven't used it much so I'll consider this my "preliminary" review. My old, now retired 1,000,000 candlepower spotlight that weighed 20 lbs (it felt like) finally bit the dust, so I started looking around for another, but most of what's out there now is LED and trying to compare was a nightmare. What do I get? How do I compare candlepower to watts or lumans? Will it be as bright and shine the same distance?? The only real way to find out is to buy something and hope it does the trick because there's too many variables when trying to compare, and most reviews I've read didn't give me the answers I needed. But, do I spend a huge chunk of money not knowing? NO. So, I found this Wasing Spotlight. It had great reviews and a decent price so I figured I might as well give it a try. Right out of the box it's great. So lightweight and no charging cords to worry about losing since the cord tucks inside the lamp housing. I charged it up and to my surprise it was very comparable to the 1,000,000 candlepower I had plus, it had other features that my old one didn't, including the built in charging cord, the adjustable stand which has a switchable tube light in it, and the three different settings on the main beam, High, Low, and Flashing. The beam seems to be narrower but the beam is bright and carries a very long distance like my old one did. I couldn't be happier because it's exactly what I wanted plus more. Time will tell if it's really worth the money but, for now, it's a big YES for me. Yes, it's from China and that was my only objection but, that's really nothing new. One thing that really tells the tale is the reviews on this one. How often do you see a total of 97% in the 4 and 5 star columns out of over 100 reviews? Not often. Nuff said. Go buy one.UPDATE: I just bought another light in April 2018. My father-inlaw's old heavy 1,000,000 candlepower bit the dust so I thought of nothing better he could have and should have. It's so lightweight and easily charged. He's near 93 and needs something to help him see GREAT at night. I haven't had a bit of a problem out of mine. Hope this one holds up as well as mine.

Great buy
I bought this light in 2016. Still works great. Searched for it to buy another. Rarely have to charge it, very bright and keeps a charge. It has been in the farm truck since 2016 getting beat around and in the hot/cold temps.
