This was a fun gift. 9 year old grandson required some help to assemble even though he is very experienced with Legos. Not the fastest but it did not impact his fun. Seems to be durable. Good value.

This car/truck looks awesome and was a bit of a challenge to build for my 12 year old, however, while building, he discovered a piece was missing. He borrowed one from one of his other sets and finished it. The foundation alone goes fine, but after building it, it was too heavy. It goes very, very slow, and the wheels won't turn with all the weight. My son was extremely disappointed! Add to that, the remote to this works on his brother's car; very disappointing, as they were planning on racing! No chance of winning his brother's though. The bricks are the quality of legos and technic blocks. The robot was a fun family group project and we all helped each other build the 500 piece model. The robot’s rechargeable battery came fully charged and as soon as it was built-we played with it. Great little remote control. Totally worth the money. Wonderful size, not too small. Stays together. Also makes a police car! Great for ages 9 and up. Good final robot look. Loved it.

Money well spent!

I purchased this for my 7yr old grandson, it took him about 4 hrs to put together without any help. He loves playing with it & especially telling people he made it himself, lolSTEM toys are the absolute best!

Parts missing and motor inoperable. Return window closed because I (being an early shopper) bought it in July for five y.o. grandson who just opened it at Christmas. Lesson learned. UPDATE: very kind seller apologized, sent me a new toy in less than a week (though WAY beyond return window), and it WORKS!

So I collected a lot of similar build kits -, especially from the name brand ones. Due to this my friend's kids and nephews keep asking me to get them such kits for birthdays and Christmas. My nephew recently had a birthday and had asked for a "remote-controlled one". Well, this one fits the bill. I bought it seeing it had almost more than 500 pieces and a pretty nice motor and control pad. I was very surprised to find the quality of the bricks is comparable to name brand ones like Lego and MegaBlocks. The black 2 stud long pins and the blue 3 stud long pins are nice and strong. No warped pieces or anything. All of them felt nice and solid. This way when the robot model felt well built when put together and the remote connected easily and worked well. Best part is the motor is rechargable - so no worry about batteries.Inside the box the pieces come seperated into different bags and a nice drawstring bag is inside the bag to keep the pieces together after opening the plastic bags. The intruction manual is printed on good quality paper, colors are good and can be easily followed by a 10 year old. The stickers are also high quality - I do recommend putting on the pieces while building the models, instead of at the end.To wrap up - the kit is of really good quality, compatible with other name brands - so lots of opportunities to expand and build large RC models and a fun gift to give to your kids.
