I love design originals they seem to have all of the best adult coloring books. My favorite thing about this book is it is a Valentina Harper and she has a beautiful mind. Her designs keep my mind at ease. I love all of the detail she includes in her art. The out come is so beautiful. Botanicals includes thirty ready to color pages that can easily be torn out the art is on thick very bright white paper. There is absolutely no bleed through which is something I look for in all coloring books. This book is of top quality. You can use gel pens, colored pencils, magic markers, even sharpies and you won't have one single drop bleed through to the opposite side of the page. The opposite side of each page is blank with an inspirational quote of some kind and a few lines where you can put your own thoughts, date, what have you. This book is very relaxing coming from a person that has very bad anxiety I do it to relax and I cannot express how much it helps. In the front of the book she includes basic color ideas, basic color tips including a wheel that shows what colors are best together and which ones will cancel the others out. There are eight colored laminated pages in front as well to give you an idea of where others went with their coloring. Everyone has a difference in opinion when it comes to coloring but I find Valentina's work to be that of top quality. She is such an inspirational person. She also has many other books but I strongly suggest purchasing one if you enjoy coloring as much as myself.

I LOVE the detail in this book and it's not so little you need a dang magnifying glass to color in it! It is perfectly detailed and the paper is NOT flimsy, pictures only on one side, that is a plus! I absolutely love this book and I already ordered another, the one with the birds on it. Super cute, with the perfect amount of detail, just right! I use glitter gels to color with and they are perfect on these pages.

I bought three of the Valentina Harper books as my first "adult" coloring books (Birds, Botanicals and Inspirations), and this is my favorite of the three, by far. the drawings are huge, and the tiny details within the many flowers, leaves, stems, and random botanical features are easier to finely color in than in the other two books, in which those tiny areas are a bit complicated to get into. the botanical drawings are gorgeous, and there are plenty of good sized leaves and petals with minimal lines drawn in to experiment with shading and blending effects, as they are not as busy looking as the drawings in the other two books (which limit your ability to play around with colors, a bit). I love all three books, mind you, and also all of the fine doodling within the designs, but this Botanicals book just allows for more creative freedom and, because the detailing is a bit larger scale, the color differences you decide to go with will pop more. I think this is the best book for older eyes, and also for relaxing. I plan to keep one book of each and gift additional ones. I can see myself repurchasing this one more than once.

Good let's you stretch you color imagination. Must be patient as areas are small. Just relax and let it flow.

My neighbors started the adult coloring book craze and I just had to join in and I'm glad I did. It's very calming to just concentrate on the design in front of you and just let your creativity take over. I especially like this particular book because I was drawn to the wheat stalks and other images instead of just flowers. I enjoy the oversize pages and the paper is good quality.

I have recently discovered Valentina Harper books and am loving her design style and the creativity it lends. This book is filled with beautiful one-sided botanical designs that can be colored many ways. There are sample pages colored at the front of the book to provide you some color ideas/direction if needed. The pages are perforated and easy to tear out if you prefer. I like to tear my pages out. I color mostly with markers and both water-based and alcohol-based markers work well on the pages. If coloring in the book, put a piece of paper between pages to prevent bleed through. Really enjoying the challenge this book is providing.

Good for repetitive coloring....I was hoping for a little more variation. The first few pages are wasted on fully colored copies....I'm assuming for inspiration or as guidelines. I would prefer more illustrations.

I love Valentina Harper's style. I think I have all of her coloring books. Warning, they are some extremely small spaces but you don't have to color them individually. Like a leaf, you could simply color the whole thing and shade it, without filling in each segment. Printed on heavy paper and with the back left blank. Printed lines are consistent, and this is a quality series of books. Highly recommend.
