Good product
I really enjoyed using these. They are thinner than the standard grey sheets from art stores but I think because they don’t have that fiber backing.I like that when you carve the color underneath is slightly lighter, allowing you to see where you have carved easily. The rubber is firm but doesn’t crumble like the standard tan / grey sheets and is easy to carve details. I prefer this to the standard pink rubber as that block makes details difficult and bends too much while carving. This one has give like the pink rubber but not as much the details easier.I am still new to block printing but I like this product and will continue using it for a bit.

Good for linocut but be careful
take the word “soft” very seriously. Texture is like, well, rubber. Not the solid linoleum im used to but good for the price. Did cut myself a lot on the learning curve but once I got used to the soft texture it was fine.

Cheap linocut sheets
I got what I ordered. 4 sheets in the correct size. The graphite tracing transfer method does not work well. The hot iron method with the printed image (using brother tn830 printer) works well. The lino sheets did curl around the edges while using the iron, but flattened after some time. Haven't tried cutting on them yet, but I'm sure with sharp tools it will cut smoothly.

Not Real Linoleum
This product is some kind of vinyl or other plastic. It carves easily, but it's more elastic than linoleum. It will stretch as you apply pressure with the carving tool. Also, you can't break off the end of a cut -- you have to cut the end of your groove. It's not better or worse than real linoleum, just different.

Easy to cut-- shows details well
This linoleum is a little stiffer than most kinds but still super easy to carve and it's two toned so it's easy to see your work. Will definitely be buying again.

Too Soft
Too soft for detailed carving. No backing, easy to cut all the way through. Not recommended for artists. Could be okay for kids with out sharp tools.

Not for laser etching
I've created rubber stamps before by using those eraser blocks and etching into them with my laser. I got the crazy idea to see if it would work on this linoleum but it just melts like plastic. 😆. If I ever decide to do some old fashioned carving, I'm prepared.

This is the only block I'll buy now
I have been carving on the stuff they sell at big box stores for probably 5+ years. When I tried this block it was a night and day difference. This block carves very smoothly like the pink stamp speedball blocks, but still holds fine detail lines. I can't believe how much easier it is to carve. It saves my wrist and fingers a ton of pain. Also its a great deal, I get the 9x12 2 pack and cut it to size and get like 4 - 6 projects out of it. I now keep a pack on hand at all times.
