Very smart and portable fish finder. first of all you have to download the APP to set it up, its a free app and the fish finder could detect the depth, temperature, outline under water and fish size, fish position and show to me on the phone. This APP statistics shows on Phone and ipad is feedback from the sonar probe via bluetooth signal.Most impressive of all, the fish finder battery worked for more than 15 hours.that's very important for a fishman who ever used a fish finder.

This was great for the two hours it worked. Incredibly frustrated, it’s connevted to Bluetooth, still full battery and sonar apparently working—but refusing to transmit data now last four plus hours. Was a little glitchy at first but cut it slack. No more. It if doesn’t start working in the next hour, it’s going back. Very disappointed.

I am giving this a 5 star rating partly due to customer service.Initially I could not connect the device to my iphone 8 but it was my fault. I emailed customer service and they responded within 2 hrs! Their printed instructions which came with the device walked me thru it and were repeated by customer service. I was trying to connect via the apple app as I do with other devices but once you activate apple blue tooth you must go into the devices app and select equipment to get them to connect.Now re the product itself. I think the sonar works great. I tossed this into a narrow lake and it demonstrated 2 shelves one at 6ft and one going to a depth of 24 ft, which I never would have guessed as I never fished the lake before. That is exactly where I threw bait and exactly where I caught fish. I have used in other circumstances where it gave me depth shelves which I would not have realized without it. So in that sense I think the device is very good.I have my doubts about if it accurately records fish vs underwater debris like laydowns. I am sure it gets some fish. In the lake just mentioned it pointed out diff "size" fish by various colors. No way to confirm that.Also I doubt the battery lasts as long as they claim but it lasts for hours.Let's face it, this is an inexpensive device for those with interest/curiosity. It is not a professional tool but there is not another tool on the market to cover this niche! ( there are other products similar to this one, but a little more expensive and I imagine by reading reviews the flaws are similar. I looked into a portable Garmin but it required a 12 V battery!)So I'm giving it 5 stars for doing what I asked it to do, namely giving me depth and giving me underwater structure in water I was not familiar at a very reasonable price!

I used this product for fishing, I had so many snags that I was too fed up and bought this and wanted to see the structure or contour underneath, found out where I usually snagged had ditches/drops, now when I fish new spots, I would make a few casts with this sonar fish finder to get a visual map of what is underneath and this has reduced my chance of snagging. Also, being able to know the depth and fish groups allows me to set bobber at the right height (if not fishing bottom), this is just awesome for the price, and connects to your phone, good alternative for a gps fish finder that costs way more with the unnecessary screen since your phone replaces the screen.

The Zacx Sonar Fish Finder is an Awesome Product @ an affordable price! I ordered mine on a Thursday afternoon with standard shipping and recieved it in just 2 quick days on that same following saturday.. It holds charge for well of 18 hours of constant use.. Your phone or tablet will die before the fish finder does!!! This product is great, it really helped me key in on locating fish moving in on winter transitions before the pre-spawn during the early spring months & find fish on the transitional points! The app is amazing & so easy to use.. I love how the fish finder works in real time as well.. 5 Stars Grade A Product, You really out did yourselves with this one Zacx!

It seems to work ok for depth and water temp but im not sure if it actualy detects fish atall, sometimes it starts going off showing a school of fish swimming by but never stops beeping
