Really nice quality
Matches well with the black of the Yamaha keyboards / stands (the P45 / P145 etc)

High build quality and comfortable!
This is a really nice quality stool. I agonised over whether or not I should spend the extra for this stool, unsure if it would be worth the premium just for a Roland badge, but I am really pleased I did in the end as it's not nearly that cynical of a product. The stool itself is finished really nicely in satin black and the wood is solid hardwood, definitely not your average MDF board used in cheaper stools. There is no creaking or wobbling, not from the stool nor the height adjust mechanism. The padding is solid and feels like it will last a long time and importantly, is really comfy to sit on. The storage compartment is quite a bit shallower than I was hoping for, but you can fit a few books in there along with cables etc. You couldn't fit much more, definitely not a pair of headphones or anything large like that. One nice touch is that the lid mechanism holds it open so you can just lift the lid and you don't have to mess about trying to keep it open with one hand whilst you rummage for a book with the other. I saw some people ask if the Roland badge is on both sides, it's not, it's only on one side which is the side you open the stool from, I guess if that's the front or the back is up to you. I personally keep it at the back on display because the other side has the hinges which look fine, but ruin the tidy lines a tiny bit. That's pretty anal though. There is some assembly required, but it's just a matter of bolting the four legs on. The bench comes with the required spanner to do so and it takes all of 2 minutes and you're done.Overall I'm really impressed with this stool, it feels absolutely rock steady and I have complete confidence in its build quality. Comfort-wise it's absolutely golden. My one tiny gripe is that the storage space could've been a little deeper, but it's no big deal, it holds messy cables and whatnot so that's enough. Quality stool!
