LINDY 5m CROMO Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable

If you came across this cable whilst searching for an alternative to Apple's ludicrously overpriced dual DVI cable, then order immediately.It will allow your Displayport equipped mac/mac mini to plug into a 2560x1440 monitor and achieve full resolution.There is another cable available on Amazon for about 4 quid, but don't be tempted to save your money, as that cable isn't shielded, and your mobile phone causes all kinds of interference with the screen if it gets too close.Quality of this cable is perfectly adequate. I'm no expert on what constitutes a good cable, but I can tell you it suffers from none of the horrible interference issues associated with either cheaper cables, OR Apple's woefully temperamental branded Displayport adapters. The materials *feel* nice and robust, and the connection is solid nd doesn't wobble.In my opinion, absolutely worth the money.

I purchased a Dell U2711 27 inch monitor to go with my 27 inch iMac screen as I do a lot of Photoshop / Excel work. I originally purchased a standard Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter cable, plugged it in and .... Oh, what a let down! I was expecting a lovely picture but the aspect was wrong and the resolution was low.HOWEVER, I then read about the cables.I found out that I had the wrong cable, so I purchased this Mini DP to DisplayPort cable and BOOOOM, what a fantastic screen, resolution and it's exactly the same size as my iMac screen - beautiful colours and exactly what I needed. This is the right cable to get the best out of the Dell monitor!

I was after a cable to connect my MacBook Pro to my Eizo monitor. The normal mini displayport to DVI adapter is a bit clunky so I was looking around for a more elegant solution. And this is it, in fact I found out that Eizo recommend this lead for use with their monitors when connecting to a Mac using mini displayport.

Bought this to extend the range of my HTC Vive Pro and it works great.

I tried this cable with my mid 2010 Mac Pro connected to a NEC PA301W and it had a problem going into/out of sleep mode. I Googled this problem and it seems to be a well known issue. My research led me to buy the genuine NEC PA-MDP-CABL cable and this solved it.

This is the third Lindy cable I have bought which has failed after a short time. This one lasted two years. I also bought Lindy mini-USB which lasted just over a year. They always fail where the cable meets the plug. One would expect a much longer life cycle for such expensive cables!I DO NOT recommend any cables from Lindy!

Excellent cable, great price. Connects Thunderbolt / Mini-Displayport to Displayport supporting very high resolutions.I tried a great many adapters and cables, some simply not working at the resolution I needed (2560x1440) and others having intermittent faults. This cable worked first time without problem, allowing me to connect my Macbook Air to a S27A850D Samsung monitor via displayport.

After having a lot of trouble in trying to get my Mac Pro to send a signal to the monitor, it was established that the existing cable was at fault. The recommendation was to replace with a LINDY cable, this was done via Amazon [...] Part Number 41057. Since this cable has been fitted, high presto everything works perfectly.
