I Like it, Wife and Kids Don't
I use the basement shower. I noticed clogging which I never thought it would; however, cleaning it out with wire auger, lo and behold, lots of my hair. So, I ordered these. Different colors at reasonable price, and simply lay it over the drain (mind is 2 1/2 inches in diameter). Works for me.My wife and daughter tried it, after choosing their color, in their shower. They don't like it for the following reasons: 1. the water puddles, i.e, drains slowly; 2. they don't like standing on it. I think it feels like a foot massage, and I really don't stand on it anyway since the drain in the center; 3. it slides around. It doesn't do it for me. so, I don't know.I'm using it. It's my review. I like it.

High hope but utterly failure
It does not work well. I used on shower drain manly to catch hair.1st it slows down the drain (puddle forms)2nd hair catches around the rim, does not collect in the middle3rd the rim is little thick which cause problem 1and 24th moves around too easily.5th I tried with my dog as well it did not help at all6th removing hair is a chore. have to dig out the hair in between spikes. (as for our drain cover just round it up and it goes to trash)I wish to return it but as for amazon, u have to pay for the return...

Largely Ineffective
Unfortunately there’s not much else you could do with these, because you won’t be trapping much hair with them. The suction is nonexistent, they don’t even lay flat, much less snug, and the hair simply washes right under them and down the drain. Very disappointed.

Buy this hair-monger!
Okay, these shocked me to the core. I bought them because my hair has been clogging the shower drain at our apartment nonstop and we are sick of calling the maintenance guys lol. Not going to lie, I bought these because they were cute and cheap. You get 4 in a pack and when I first saw them I thought there’s no way this will work! The holes look large and there is literally no suction. It just kinda sits there over your drain, but the gravity of the water from your shower holds is down. At first, it looks like it’s catching no hair because it all just kind of disappears. I thought I wasted my money. To my pleasant surprise, I picked the thing up and looked underneath.... all of the hair was trapped!! The hair partially goes through the holes (hence why it looked like it was indeed going down the drain) and then gets tangled up underneath the trap due to the swirling motion the water creates naturally. So to sum up... this thing is magic and will capture all the hairs. I plan to use one in my kitchen just cause they’re cute.

Not for tub/shower combo or most applications.
There is no suction or weight to hold this in place. If your drain is beneath the faucet the water will likely push this out of place defeating the purpose of the product. It doesn’t help that the edging of the product has a good size lip. The product seems to discolor quickly, good it comes as a set. Did not work for my application, ended up purchasing another item. Would not recommend this product for the common tub shower combo setup.

I wished they made it to fit a standard 4 1/2 inch drain
If you intend to put this on a 4 1/2 drain in a shower stall (i have not tried on a tub, imagining it would be worst) so that it sits inside the lip and not be above ground level, then this wont fit, I had to cut around it to do that. If you just put it on the drain and above floor level then you will have standing water around it and also some water will try to go underneath it which will cause the hair to just sit around it or it may even just go through and not caught in the spikes. After trimming it however its doing its job nicely, I wished they would have included different sizes.

It works!
Anyone with long hair is aware there are two main ways to handle loose strands in the shower: 1) let it clog the drain until you need to call a plumber, or 2) stick it on the wall, which makes for easier cleanup but takes forever getting it off your fingers. I was squarely in the second category until I found these. I got them for taking showers in my communal dorm hall, where a product with suction cups would be impractical. It stays in place, is big enough to cover the drain, collects all my hair so I don't leave a mess for whoever showers after me, and when the hair dries I can just pull it all right off and toss it. I also appreciate the tab that sticks up to help you pick it up without touching nasty shower-floor cooties.

Does not work!
There is no suction, so the hair catcher sits on the drain and can be easily moved. I used it in a standup shower over a flat drain. I still gave it a chance for a week, just avoided hitting it which moves it immediately. Even without moving it, the hair goes right underneath into the drain. The drain itself catches more hair than this hair catcher. Not worth the trouble if your trying to stop hair from going down the drain.
