These are perfect for daily use, and suitable for both hot and cold drinks. I don’t have to worry about ring formation, color discoloration or coffee and tea stains. Each coaster has a unique marble pattern and some have tiny imperfections, a characteristic of natural stones. The manufactures have done their best to smooth the stone down and create round sturdy coasters that can be wiped clean. The ones I received have different shades of black, grey and white. Though I like them, they do not resemble the image provided by the seller. No two sets will be the same, and that can be a problem for customers looking for exclusively black and white patterns.

These are pretty nice for what they are. They're pretty thick which is nice and packaged well. At first I didn't think they'd be absorbant because of how glossy hey are, but if you look closely there are porous holes which absorb the moisture quickly. My original review focused on the color. I was expecting these to look black (like the pictures). They had a bit more white in them than anticipated, but they have really grown on me and look wonderful! I think having the extra crystal white in them adds more class. You can tell they are hand made because each one is unique in its own way. I have had many guests compliment these. The bottoms have a black padding to keep them from slipping. I had to be honest after a few weeks and update my review from 3 stars to 5 stars because they are truly wonderful. You won't be disappointed with these.

If you like this color, I’d definitely say these would be great. They were not damaged, and have a clean finish. However, these were meant for a gift for someone who wanted black marble coasters—I thought these would be perfect. But when they arrived, they did not look like the picture in the description.

I’m impressed enough to write a review because I dropped two of these coasters two separate times by accident onto my hardwood floors and they did not crack or chip or anything! WOW that’s quality!
