Wind Speed Meter - BT-817A Handheld Anemometer Digital Gauge Thermometer Air Velocity & Temperature Measurement for Windsurfing Shooting Sailing Pocket Weather Station

This item is almost there as far as being a great item. I found that when I put it up the register and bring it up to look at the speed, it drops too fast for me to tell what the speed was. Brought this to the attention of BtMeter, even sent video's of the problem, but got no return e-mails. It would be awesome if it had a hold button, or at least held the speed for a few seconds. I know what I have to do to make it work for me, which is what others may probably say too. I need to keep it at the register and reads the speed before pulling it away. Which really is difficult to do. All said and done, for the money, it really is a great product.

We use these at work to test drift. We have meters that are 200-300 each but they seem to come up missing at random. We purchased many testers. This meter is within 1mph to the high priced meters. Works great so far. It is all plastic so it won't take a heavy beating. Take care of it and it works.

That says it all. If you can't open the battery cover, you can't turn it on. The battery cover just distorted and bent - and yes, I used a proper tool. I can't comment otherwise on how well it works.

I use this anemometer for work to check wind speed During herbicide season. Works great and easy to use.

Stupid plastic door to the battery compartment doesn't work. Because of the soft plastic, if you're not careful with the screwdriver, the plastic ends up being torn up and stripping it. Also, the battery compartment is stuck so even though it's twisted to open, it won't come loose. Stupid.
