Magnet is strong and door holds nicely. Double back tape does not hold securely against wall or door after time. Had to use gorilla glue to hold backs to wall and door. Other than that work around, it serves its purpose.

I have a bathroom door that will not stay open (very old, uneven house), that I have been using rubber door stops under the door to hold it open for 11 years. They a such a nuisance to use. I bought this doorstop a while back and my son recently installed it for me. Oh my goodness, what a difference it has made. For a week every time I used the bathroom, I just smiled! I was a bit skeptical about the adhesive that holds it in place, but it is holding up nicely. Why it's important for me to have my bathroom door open is that my house has no insulation, so in the winter if the door is kept closed, you freeze while in the bathroom.

Very strong magnet. Easy to install it appears. Comes with screws and 3M adhesive round tab that is the size of its base. The one thing I don’t like it that the “neck” of the piece that goes on the floor or the wall is very long. I have tile in my bathroom so I can’t install it on the floor or I would risk damaging/ chipping/ cracking the tile. I can’t just glue the piece to the floor as after a few uses it would be pulled off since the magnet is very strong. If I would install it on the wall the door will be too far into the room for my liking.If I had different flooring and could install it on the floor it would be great as that would hold the door open and just off the wall but not far into the room.

Fell off the wall soon after placing. I ended up keeping them planning to attach to the wall but haven’t tried it yet.

Works great to keep doors opened but the adhesive need a little work. Bedroom doors are only closed when sleeping at night and 2 weeks after installing these they do not stick to the wall anymore.

Great concept, ideal for the two places I’ve installed them. My only issue is that they kept detaching from the painted baseboard. One piece has screw holes, the other does not…unfortunately, the one with screw holes is the one that sticks fine without screws.Otherwise, a definite 5* product.Solved the problem by drilling two small holes in the other piece to mount them securely.

So we moved into a very old place with original hardwood floors. There is one of a pair of French doors that won't stay open, it will close by itself immediately, but it's just in from the entrance and very inconvenient to have to keep opening or manually holding open. This little magnetic doorstop was the perfect solution! It comes with double-sided adhesive pads, just like 3M command strips but round, so there was no need to drill any holes for screws in these antique wood surfaces. The magnet is strong enough to catch perfectly every time, and releases with a gentle tug. The brass color matches the rest of our hardware perfectly. Highly recommend!

We have a door that doesn't stay open, and this is the perfect way to keep it open when we want to. It attached to the wall and when you push the door all the way open the magnet holds it there. No need to bend down and move a doorstop back and forth. Works great! I wish I'd known about this product sooner!
