Attwood 93038LP7 High-Output Primer Bulb, EPA and CARB Certified - 3/8-Inch

This is a first rate quality primer bulb. It solves any problems your old and deteriorated primer bulb may have. When priming / pumping gasoline, keep the directional flow arrow aiming up so the valve will work correctly, easy enough to do. Once gas has moved through the bulb, the bulb can be pumped in any position to move fuel. Will definitely buy more of these in the near future for my two boats. This bulb can also work great as a siphon pump for transferring fuel. Just put correct diameter hoses on each end the lengths of your choice. I was able to siphon older boat gas out of my tank and use it in my car. No waste, no mess.

These pumps work great for any external unit you need to use. We use an external tank for our ranch truck since we rarely use it. The Atwood pump helps get the fuel to the engine pump very well.

When I removed the old bulb from my Big Ol' Johnson, I was shocked at its deteriorated condition compared to the brand-new Atwood bulb. Sun, rain, heating and freezing eat away at exposed rubber like those broads on The View eat away at people the don't like! Don't wait too long to change your boat's primer bulb as I did. Change the primer bulb every few years. And change the exposed fuel line too!

They say you get what you pay for. That certainly proves true for this fuel primer bulb with the brand name "Attwood". I've tried to cheap out a couple times and use no name ones, they always leak. Some, the one-way valve does not hold and they crack out within a month or two. This Atwood bulb is considerably thicker and the connectors are well crimped into the rubber body - NO LEAKS ! As a result of it being made of a thicker rubber material, it is a bit harder to squeeze than the cheap thin ones. The one way check valve seems to be holding well and my system has a 75psi electric fuel pump pulling from the out flow side of the primer bulb. My electric fuel pump does seem to pull enough to somewhat collapse the primer buld during use, but not enough to affect the fuel delivery, or cause problems with the bulb. Overall, yeah, this is GREAT primer bulb and will definitely not be cheaping out these going forward.

Replacement for my little boat. Bought 2, other was a different brand. This one is much better...sent the other one back.

Attwood is a good name in marine ( I guess) OK primer ball. The ends are plastic and look like they will break easy. You can get a primer ball with steel barb ends with hose for the same price. I am ordering one and keeping this as a spare.
