API ROOT TABS Freshwater Aquarium Plant Fertilizer 0.4-Ounce 10-Count Box

Great for a planted aquarium. These really get the plants going good with lots of nutrients. Just beware of over using them or you will have an algae issue that is hard to fix. I used these for amazon swords mostly, and they grew right out of the tank and the plants became very full and lush.

I cannot recommend these enough I put an entire pack in my 20 gallon next to all my dwarf hairgrass and within 2 days they all sent out runners that are already poking through the gravel, supports healthy, non yellowing plant growth, they do make the water a bit cloudy so put them in fast!

Easy to use! Just stick it in the substrate and thats it! My plants have grown so much better since using this.

Seems to do it’s job! I don’t like that the tab immediately starts dissolving the second it touches the water, so you have to be quick putting it under the sand.

Firstly, I crushed up 5 tabs and mixed it into the substrate before laying it into my aqua build. It’s been 6 weeks since my initial use and wow! The plants I used are growing amazingly! The appearance, they look vibrant and green. The plants look healthy and well. As far as taste goes..it’s in my aquarium, so I refuse to taste them for reasons…

Maybe I got a bad batch but these root tabs start melting as soon as it hits the water, then turns into a cloud of fertilizer as I try to push it mid way into a sand substrate. The cloudiness clears up after a few mins but I wonder how much of it made it into the substrate and not in the filter.

These are a must have for planted tanks . I had problems growing aquatic plants until I started using these plus the api Leaf zone liquid fertilizer and now the plants are growing like crazy .
