This Litter is a MIRACLE Worker!!!
For the past two years since I brought my female kitten home, she has refused to use her litter box. I originally thought it might be the litter so tried just about everything you can possibly try. I took her to the vet who was convinced it must be an aversion to her litter tray due to her constant diarrhea however after solving her tummy troubles -she still kept on defecating outside of her litter box (sometimes in the lounge much to my horror). I even enlisted the help of a cat-psychologist who suggested I use seven(!) litter trays to ensure there was no where left for her to go on the bathroom floor. I honestly was at my wits end as she's such a lovely cat but picking up poop isn't fun for anyone.I decided there must be some sort of product to help lure her into her tray and that's when I finally found Dr Elsey's attracting litter. I immediately ordered some and within hours of putting it out, my cat finally used her litter tray!! A miracle worker is what I call this stuff. I can't recommend it enough. My other male cat has even decided to bin his trays (filled with Catsan Natural Clumping) and started using Dr Elsey's.Unlike some, I haven't found it dusty at all. The tracking is much better than anything else I've used (my cats are long-haired) and it clumps so well! I haven't had any issues with it sticking at all as I use a very sturdy pooper scooper (BasicForm Metal Cat Litter Scoop, also from Amazon) which is very durable.Honestly, even if it did create a mess, the fact is my cat actually uses it so I don't care how troublesome it might have been, but I actually smile now when I go to clean the trays as it's so easy! It's been over a week now and I'm over the moon. Who knew such a small thing could radically change my world?!For anyone with a cat who avoids their litter box - this product is definitely worth the money, just get it already!

This product is great, but if its your first time buying, take a look
I came over this product when I first got my own cats(Bengals) and started to read up about RAW food. I visited a few great pages but this one veterinary page where she explained why RAW is truly the best way to go for a healthy cat, she also talked about litter and problems a lot of people may experience.First reason this litter was picked is because it DUSTS a lot less than other litters, like for example World's Best Cat Litter. So after having used World's Best Cat Litter and wasn't too impressed by the poor clumping I decided to go for this one. And let me tell you, this thing is like cement! But, in a good way!The thing is, when cats go to the litter box, and when they push the litter around, it generates a lot of dust. The dust it generates is not good for your cats lungs, and as such this litter is great. It dusts very little compared to other clumping litters.If you are buying this litter, make sure you put a really thick layer of it, this litter is like cement. If the pee reaches the bottom it will be hard to get off. Buy a sturdy litter scoop! If you let the pee dry up for a while, it will get dry pretty quick, and then it is it's super easy to clean. It really clumps perfectly, and it never falls apart like it does with other cat litters.It may take a while to get used to this litter and to learn how to best use it, but this litter is better than TWBCL, it is a lot more gentle on your cats lungs and doesn't fall apart!

Good clumping litter.
One star off because this is some very expensive litter. On the up side, it's one of the only litters our cat will use, so needs must. It's unscented and clumps perfectly. It does very well with odour control. It does have as much dust as other clay litters and its small particles tend to track rather far. We've been tapering our cat onto World's Best Clumping, which is a better fit for all involved, because the dustiness of this was making us all a little miserable. Still, probably the best clay litter on the market.

This is THE best cat litter ever
This is THE best cat litter ever, bar none!I have owned male cats for over 20 years and had never had an issue with a cat peeing indoors until my female cat had kittens and we decided to keep the male one. He was a NIGHTMARE and kept peeing repeatedly in 2 areas, he was literally going there every day and I tried everything on the market to clean the area, then I read an article about changing the cat litter. Again, I tried every brand I coud find and it made no difference at all....I really was at the end of my tether until I saw a you tube video from someone with the same problem recommending Dr Elsey's.OK it is more expensive than your average bag of litter but I was prepared to try anything so I bought a bag, that was 2 weeks ago and the kitten hasn't peed indoors since we changed! I used the whole bag in one go so it was nice and deep and scoop out the 'balls' of urine twice a day as recommended. We have not needed to add or change the litter at all yet - there is no smell, no dust and virtually no mess, it's FANTASTIC.I cannot believe how good this stuff is and would recommend it to anyone.The only very minor drawback is that the cat's can track it a bit, I solved this by laying a small towel in front of the tray to catch any bits stuck in their feet as they exit the tray.

Disappointed
This had good reviews which is why I ordered it, but I was disappointed. Positive - practically dust free and it clumped most of the time. Unfortunately it didn’t always clump and when wet it stuck to the bottom of the litter tray like concrete. It was really heavy and overpriced.

We were using this litter for a couple of years and lately it becomes a thick mess, like fresh concrete, on the bottom of the litter box and its a real pain to scrap out the wet litter. We are now mixing it 50/50 with the \"world's best kitty litter\" because I don't want to throw it away and the \"worlds best\" while great at clumping is not as good at odor control. Something changed in the manufacturing of this product for sure!"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"what is the litter made of?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"It's NOT dustless. To see this the best, watch and breathe as you tip (however gently) new litter in the pan. We get the best food, can't afford the best litter so found this to be the best (we were on Arm & Hammer but they changed and got super dusty), then price started going up this year so we went elsewhere. Have use dpine which is good, but you have to clean every day as its non clumping, just lays on top. Spending a bit more now on Wheat litter, NO DUST when you pour, cats are ok with it. Hope they cough less than with clay. Whats the point in the best food and then giving them clay (ALL clay litter produces dust and the cats are way more sensitive to it then us)."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"How does this compare to \"Fresh Step\" when it comes to the amount of airborne dust? Thanks!","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"We, too, used Fresh Step for years, until we discovered Precious Cat. Unfortunately, all cat litter has dust that can become airborne. That said, Precious Cat by far has the least amount. We have seven litter pans in one area (currently four cats) and keep an air cleaner there as well. Sweeping or vacuuming in the area daily is a must to keep litter from being tracked throughout the house, which gets crushed underfoot and can then become airborne dust."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Is this litter sented?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"No. The label/description is correct :\"it controls odor naturally without perfume, deodorants or chemicals\".This is an unscented litter vs some that say unscented but if you dig deeper (bad pun) you can find \"masking scent\" as seen in some air/room/fabric deodorizers."}}]}]}
