I wasn't expecting too much, the world of OBD's is confusing for the home mechanic and navigating through all the waffle to find whether it does what you require can be difficult. I wanted something to do basic checks, but also rewind the EPB to change the brake pads. When this arrived I plugged it in and what a surprise - its exceeded my expectations so far. Be patient take your time to work through the menus..it will donthe rest. I used the EPB function this weekend and it worked a treat on the Nissan Quashqai Mk2 2 2019. Supports lots of vehicles so check the website - you get to add three manufacturer's to the device included in the price im guessing you can add more after for extra cost. I dont write reviews often but this has been one of the best purchases ive made in a long time. If you're after and OBD device you won't be disappointed, yes theres a subscription after a year but if it does what you want when you want it its seems reasonable to me compared to something that will not work

Ok I was very dubious about reviews on this item but thought ill try it, well it arrived today and I took it out to my car which has 2 Eml lights on. I plugged it in downloaded the Topdon app on playstore, opened account and away we went. It connected to the reader straight away it found my car and vin number and I started the scan. It's a bit slow and you have to give it time loading but it came up with all the fault codes I was able to email them to myself and then it cleared the Eml lights. Turned car off then started it and bingo it all worked faultless fantastic and I now have the list of errors to work through and put right. All in all it's informative and you just follow the clear instructions it gives you. You can only store 3 vehicles at a time and it's free for 12 mnths then I belive its a £29 a Yr subscription to keep it all updated. I was quite impressed with this so 5 🌟

This topdon scanner is a very good tool for reading and clearing faults. Setting it up requires you to make an account, but it's very easy to do so.A connection to my Volvo's central electronics module wasn't connected before I turned the ignition on which caused a whole load of faults to show up on the OBD2, one of which was an SRS airbag fault which couldn't be cleared with a normal OBD2 scanners. This scanner however managed to access the SRS diagnostics and cleared it very quickly.However this device is on a subscription. The first year is free, but past that you must pay £29.99 per year to use the advanced features. I believe it only limits you to basic engine code functionality like any other basic scanner if you don't pay this fee.The next downside is you can only store 3 cars at a time, however I believe you can delete cars from your account if you no longer need to scan a particular car.The £29.99 year subscription is still cheaper than taking it to a mechanics for them to clear it so I'd say it's probably worth it, especially if your car likes to give out lots of codes like mine does.

Good solid build . Easy to install . Speed at which is scans the car is fast . Diagnostics has a good range to check everything . Took us about 10 minutes to set up and connect via blu tooth .Connectivity is quick .

You get a year's access to the App, which is much more in-depth than other Apps I've tried. I carried out the vehicle scan and it identified a fault code for a problem that was fixed in a recall 8 years ago, which no other Apps identified. I also used it to reprogram TPMS sensors, which was my primary reason for buying. I would thoroughly recommend.

Great for DIY or maybe a garage that just needs a good scanner. But fantastic for the price amazing value.
