Easy Install
I am pleased with this electronic deadbolt. Most of the electronic locks are basic locks, whereas this is an actual deadbolt. It was very easy to install, and app is user friendly.

It works with a tuya bluetooth to wifi gateway... not bad but not in love with it.
Firtst, you do have to change the lock despite the description stating that you do not need to do this. Second, its anoying needing to use a bluetooth to wifi gateway to remote unlock the door. The redeming point is that you don't need the gateway if you are using the smartlife app on your phone since this one will find the device and control it over bluetooth.

Decent Bluetooth lock with a wifi gateway, but no voice control
This is a decent lock, with lots of features, but lacking the main one I want: voice control. The lock is solidly built - there's no plastic on any of the mechanical stuff. Both the lock body and the exterior surround are metal. It comes with 3 keys. Installation was fairly straightforward. The instructions are brief, but mostly sufficient. Note that the lock is shipped with the interior mounting plate attached to the inner body, which confused me a bit. A screw inside the battery compartment and another under the locking knob both need to be removed in order to separate the 2 halves. After that, everything fit together fine and the lock works smoothly. The product description says that the lock is "designed to solve the problem of not being able to replace the front door lock", but this is most definitely a replacement for an existing deadbolt. Maybe things work differently elsewhere, but in the US at least, installing this product would be considered changing the lock, and a landlord would take issue if this change happened without their consent. The key that opens the door is being changed, so it's difficult to see this as anything other than changing the lock. Also contrary to the product's description, this isn't a wifi lock per se. Between the lock and the gateway, this is more like two devices in one, a Bluetooth lock and a Bluetooth gateway. The lock itself doesn't access wifi. Instead, the lock works off Bluetooth and talks to the included gateway, and the gateway talks to wifi. This arrangement seems to work ok, and could be of particular use if your lock is in a wifi dead zone, but adds another layer of complexity. The tiny little gateway will need a USB power supply, which is not included - this seems like cheaping out. Also, the gateway uses the antiquated Micro USB plug. Once it's setup, the gateway is mostly transparent. When setting things up, the instructions weren't clear which part to do first - I added the gateway first, which was quickly found by the Smart Life app. After a firmware update on the gateway, I added the lock, which was also quickly found. The app works great, with prompt notifications for opening/closing. If using the geofencing, precise location access at all times is required, which makes sense. Without geofencing, only non-precise location is needed, and then only while the app is running. Also, the app keeps track of activity, so you can see when the door is locked/unlocked.The biggest issue, though, is the lack of voice control, or at least not that Alexa can recognize. The product's description says "Voice Control", but I'm not seeing it in the product's instructions or in the Alexa app. I have a couple other locks using the Smart Life app, and they were immediately recognized by Alexa, but not this one. Alexa doesn't recognize either the lock or the Bluetooth gateway.

Easy to use
Really easy to use, the connectivity is great as long as you have good Wi-Fi, not as convenient as it would be if you had a pad to type of a number, because you have to have access with your phone.
