Carlyle Echinacea Capsules 650mg | 120 Count | Non-GMO & Gluten Free Supplement

Echinacea is one of the herbal products that I have most often recommended over my long career as a retail pharmacist. The Carlyle label is produced by a long established US manufacturer of quality supplements. This 120 count package is priced comparable to what 'discount' stores charge for 60 or 100 count bottles. The only issue I could raise with this package is perhaps a personal preference, or misunderstanding on my part, concerning the one capsule daily directions. My experience with purple coneflower (echinacea) is that it is most effective as an immune system stimulant when taken at a higher dose when first symptoms of cold or flu occur. Taking a low dose on a daily basis is not as effective. Of course individual experience and your own healthcare providers guidance should guide your use of any supplement. An additional warning unique to echinacea, and absent from the label, is that this product should be avoided by anyone with auto immune disease of any kind.

These are about the size of a Tylenol caplet, and I can swallow them easily. That's really important, because herbs sometimes come in huge capsules that are really hard to get down. They are non GMO and GMP certified, according to the label, and they are "processed and lab tested in the USA." They are vegetarian, but not vegan. The label also says there are no artificial flavors or colors, and there are no preservatives.

My wife and I like to take this supplement during the winter months to help our immune system. These capsules are not too large and easy to swallow. They come with 120 capsules, which for us covers 3 months of winter for the 2 of us.Great price for a quality product.

These capsules are slightly smaller than average. There's a faint leafy smell, but nothing unpleasant. It's quite easy to take and has a good dose amount, even with just one capsule per serving. I'm totally satisfied with these. If you're looking for some echinacea, this is a great choice! 5 stars.
