Fits perfect. Works as expected.

I keep my SpaceMouse in my backpack so I can make adjustments to drafts while in the field, and this case has become an essential part of my daily carry. These 3D mice aren’t cheap, and they’ve got sensitive components that can easily get damaged. If you’re traveling or tossing it in a bag, do yourself a favor and protect it—this case is worth every penny.

Loved it!!

As a dental professional with a love for digital dentistry I found this space mouse a must-have element! It’s great for reviewing my wax-ups and digital designs and makes the workflow way much more easier.

I've always loved 3dConnexion, and this one is a faithful upgrade to an impressively useful design.Build quality is as good as it looks. It's a nice, heavy chunk o steel, all top-quality fit and finish. The wireless is more appreciated than I expected. It gets moved around often, and is typically in front of something, so no cable makes it easy to just pop around, or toss into its case.I use this with the wireless Cadmouse left, and really love the combo for Maya. Navigation is a dream in all apps that implement it. Some software, like Mudbox, hasn't been as well supported recently, and some of the best use cases, like ZBrush, have never supported these.3DConnexion can't do anything when devs don't build the sdk into their software, which is the only reason I hesitate to recommend this to everyone. It's been the saga with these for over a decade. Research your software if you don't already know. It's disappointing when switching from Maya to ZBrush, and not being able to glide around. It works in Blender, and many other leading apps, just not all you might wish for.If you're already familiar and informed, just buy the drnd thing. I don't regret it. I owned a Spacepilot (big paddle with buttons), but much prefer this combined with a keyboard or a snes-style game controller. The firmware lets you assign an 8-spot radial menu to each of the two buttons, which pops up around your pointer and saves a lot of reaching for extra keys. This and all other behavior can be customized for each app. It's all pretty well designed, and makes the daily workflow more pleasant.

Wow!! what a tool - game changer

I had read a number of reviews and watched a number of Youtube videos - on the different CAD type mouse systems. After watching the videos and the guys saying that you are better off going with the Spacemouse wireless rather than the more complicated bigger mouses with all the buttons and whistles. I decided to do that and I am happy I did. You are better of working with the Spacemouse and your computer keyboard and even your normal mouse all together. things flow better. The bigger and more complicated mouses have more buttons and whistles but because they don't have all the keys you still need to use your keyboard so your better off getting the Spacmouse in my opinion. The one thing I kind of didn't like is you have to go on their website and give them all your info to register the mouse and download the drivers. All I thought was great now I am going to get more junk emails because they will sell my info. At this point I am not sure if they are selling my info or not. I seem to get a lot of junk emails every day!! I really like this mouse and after a few hours of working with it I can't imagine not having one! There is a little bit of a learning curve to using it at first. The instruction videos really helped. Greg from Wisconsin

Excellent for use on the road

I have a big, old SpacePilot but it's too large to carry in my laptop bag unless I throw out everything else. This unit doesn't have the dedicated buttons that I use on the other one but I've programmed the two buttons that it does have to do the functions I really need. I have been using this more than a month, at least 8 hours per week and I haven't charged the battery yet. The base is heavy enough that it never slides on the desk (or on the couch) but isn't outrageously heavy to carry.

Great Mouse

Helps me with my CAD work by reducing the amount of strain on my other hand. Adjustable sensitivity, high quality, recommend!

This does NOT work as a regular mouse. Only in special 3D environs.

The corp's tech support told me spacemouse isn't supposed to work as an ordinary mouse outside 3d. Which is why it won't control the cursor. In a few programs here and there it can cause a scroll or click that's about it. I get that the point is 3D, that's certainly why I paid that much for it, but this lack of function outside that ought to be in the bullet points for the description of the product (I likely wouldn't have bought it). It is very cool in 3D environs though. And it does work with the tactical camera view in EVEonline gaming, though I haven't got down using it as well as needed. And alas it doesn't work as a mouse so I can pan a camera view, but if I want to do something constructive I have to grab another mouse or my trackpad to do everything else (including 'switch to that camera'), which is ... ridiculously awkward to say the least. Given you can somewhat 3d maneuver with a normal mouse in EVE -- and also do the other 100 things required in the space interface -- versus having a neat 3D option for the camera but being unable to do anything else with it -- I'd say it's not ready for primetime for stuff like this, though I'm sure it works well for CAD. Another button that lets you flip into regular mouse mode (if that is needed) would make this kind of thing the new standard. It's an expensive far-niche with this limit though. Not complaining -- except for the lack of notice about it. It seems to do well in 3D.
