It is heavier and bulkier than smaller single-battery torches that I have. But it's far brighter.I shan't need the flashing modes but others will. But what I do need are the three brightness levels - that's really useful. So too is the wide range of focus patterns that promise up to a 500m beam throw.If you are thinking whether to get this or a smaller (cheaper) aluminium/LED torch, think of this in old fashioned terms. They are like a single small battery torch. This is the equivalent of an older lamp-style torch that would have had several D-size batteries. But this one is far smaller and lighter.The casing is rugged and though I haven't tested the water/weather seal, I am convinced by the claim. The pack is a pleasure to have. You get a useful heavy duty pouch with a belt loop, a charger for the rechargeable battery and... really nice, if you can't recharge the battery because you are out in the wild, you can take easy-to-buy AAA batteries, and sue the 3x carrier that is also supplied. And it all comes in a pretty rugged plastic hard-case with foam interior.My one, tiny, quibble: the battery when properly fitted is not fully snug, and rattles a little. Can be fixed with a small wrap of tape.

I must say it took me a while to figure out how to do it. To change the mode you don’t need to press as if ON/OFF but instead just simply slight touch/push that will change the mode.You can easily carry this by hooking in to the belt around your waist for easy access or hook it on your rucksack.The mains charger is very simple to use to. Just insert the rechargeable battery in to +/- as marked, allow at least 4-6 hours to fully charge.Additionally you can use the light for biking.It would be nice to see the charger comes a bit compact something like the AmazonBasics Battery Charger with the plug built in on the back of the charger for easy installation.I really hope you found my review helpful and would love for you to click on the “YES” button to say so. I used a torch like this last winter, and was so impressed that I determined to get one for myself. This one is an excellent choice, it comes very well packaged, in its own zipped carry case, with accessories including a mains charger. I can’t fault the brightness of this torch, and I love the fact that you can zoom in or out for a more intense angle. I am also a fan of led bulbs, they are much superior in every way to the old fashioned ones. The quality and workmanship is very high, that I can say that, this is the best torch I have ever owned, and I’m sure it will last me a long time. Overall, very impressive.

Great assesorie good sturdy torch in a neat box. It's very bright and great for all uses I am keeping this fully charged in my car at all times in case of emergency. But it will be great if you need it for any situation around the home the garages out night fishing I highly recommend this torch

Shadowhawk Tactical X800 Flashlight £23.89. Although for use by anyone, I reckon many men are like me and love to have a decent torch at hand, and this is a decent torch. With LED light sources these days you expect brightness, but this is unbelievably superbright and lit up my garden brighter than a WWII searchlight. I have to say this is the brightest torch I have ever owned. And, it’s not just a single beam from this torch you get high, medium and low settings on a zoomable movement plus strobe effect and a repeating SOS signal which you may say what use is that? But if you are a hill walker or climber, camper or hiker, cyclist or hunter, indeed any outdoors enthusiast, this could be your lifesaver some day. And for the technophobes the list is long. The Shadowhawk is made of military grade aluminium so is strong and light. The LED has a lifespan of around 100,000 hours, and shines a distance of 300 to 500 metres powered by a 18650 rechargeable (5 hours’ charge) battery. Small and portable, the torch is waterproof and comes with a Velcro-style belt attachment carry case and battery pack for three AAA batteries you can use while the big battery is charging. There are so many good points about this item, many superfluous to its main objective which is to give a tremendously bright beam each time you switch it on and for that you will not be disappointed.
