We are huge fans of Skillmatics games, and this particular one has become another favourite in our collection. Packed with surprises and a touch of luck, it captivated our kids who simply couldn't get enough of it!

A really fun game for kids and elders. Luckily it was really easy to learn and is exciting enough to be brought out to play a couple of times a week. Would recommend.

The instructions are not clear. There's no way to move further in this game. Gave a headache. Also it encourages bullying as it says 'grab' other players cards.

I liked this game. It's really simple, but has enough going on that it's quite fun. The deck is a scattered pile in the middle of the table and players "mine" it for gems. The aim of the game is to have cards with the most points at the end of the game.On a players turn they choose which die they are going to use. The wooden die is numbered 1 to 6 and that is the number of cards you can pick up to from the centre. The black dice are made up of a numbered die and a symbol die. Players MUST do the action the symbol represents and do it the number of times the other die says i.e. steal 4 cards from another player.In amongst the gems are other cards with either nice results (take a peek cards) or nasty results (lose everything). There are quite a few of these so it does make taking from the centre pile tense.I think that there is a good amount of player interaction. There is not much strategy in this game. It is mostly luck based, or perhaps I should say it's more push-your-luck. It would make a good filler game for an adults game night, or a good game for kids.The rules are well thought out and the components appear well made. I like the inclusion of a quick reference card. Overall would recommend.

At time of review this is priced at 14.99 which is a good price for a boxed game like this. They can go up to £20 easily.The components are good. The quality of the cards is decent. They’re not flimsy and thin. The wooden dice are nice and it fits back in box afterwards which is always good. It’s pretty light too, so wouldn’t be hard to take camping or caravaning.It’s a fun game to play although there is an element of stealing each other’s resources, so be aware of this if it’s something your kids hate.Age range can go quite low, maybe 4 or 5 upwards. It’s certainly easy to use.Recommended

I bought this game for 7 year old twins and they loved it! Only comment was that the instructions were a little hard for them to follow.
