Headphones now working picking up converted optical signal
Very happy, set up in minutes and pressed the switch and the sound came through. Should have ordered it sooner as been trying to get my headphones to pick up the t.v. sound for weeks. Now the optical has converted so I just need a new optical cable to link to my sound bar. Mission seemingly accomplished!Update - working very well and allows my sound bar to also pick up the optical signal. Project successful finally plus added a volume controller which I have found essential.

GREAT FOR WHAT I NEED
I like to do things the old way and connect my blu-ray ' sky box and other gear directly to the TV and have the sound only going through my AV RECEIVER'S digital input . As my DENON AVR doesn't have a digital coaxial input this is ideal " My TV is connected to the avr's optical 1 input ' and this nifty little gadget is connected to my AVR'S optical 2 input . I have 2 blu-ray players ' my sky + and an old DVD recorder connected to this so I can still enjoy DTS / DOLBY DIGITAL surround .
