Little Miracles: A heart-wrenching, emotional novel about a mother’s love

I haven't ever read a Giselle Green book before and this had been on my kindle for a while. I'll be honest and say I picked it up in the sale and thought the synopsis looked ok. It reminded me of Jodi Picoult.The book centres around Charlie, his family and his fiancée, Julia. They go to Spain to see Charlie's family and tragedy strikes. It is no secret that their one year old child goes missing and the rest of the story is about how they deal with the fallout of that.I found myself quickly drawn into the story and felt for Julia - she didn't fit into the strong Catholic world that Charlie's Spanish family live in and she struggled. On the day she takes one year old Hadyn to the beach, I felt uncomfortable with her getting the lift from Maria and then it all turns into a living nightmare. The aftermath of what happens is so frustrating and I could totally sympathise with Julia's need for answers despite everybody else moving on.I found Charlie frustrating and very elusive. I couldn't understand the attraction towards him and he seemed to be harbouring a lot of secrets. I found myself struggling to warm to him.The ending is very open and we don't get a definitive ending. It could be seen as annoying but it's certainly fitting for the story. Many parents don't get any answers about where their children are.I really liked this book. I found it engaging and well written. I look forward to reading more of her work.

I am not sure what i can say about this book...except it blew me away!! The whole story is amazing and takes you on journey no parent wants to go on, but also teaches you at the heart and soul. Beautifully written, with a total insight in to the minds of the two most important people other than Hadyn. I cannot praise this book enough, but dot want to say to much and end up putting spoilers.

Yes the story was goodWhile reading this book wonder how many children go missingin a freak situation meaning with in seconds turn round to do somethingthe child goes missing How does any one live with that as to be read

The story follows the disappearance of a child through a catalogue of mis- managed lives of the parents .It gets a bit repetative, and frustrating in that the characters act on impulses and do not communicate with those around them sufficiently to avoid problems.Having said that the reader wants to read to the end in hope of a happy ending.

Kept you guessing right until the end!. I think it could have been slightly shorter. I am now reading the sequel 'Finding You'.

Really enjoyed the first part of this story then I found it getting boring and I ended up skimming the last 30%. I will read the follow-up book 'Finding You' and hope it is more of a page turner than 'Little Miracles'.

Beautifully written, I found hard to put down. Would have been nice to "know" what happens to Hayden but that's what your imagination is for....
