Works great for 3d printed parts

I've used quite a few of these and I will say I've had zero issues with them. They insert fine with a soldering iron and the threads are accurate and clean. I have zero complaints or suggestions for improvements.

Sampling assortment

These work really well in my 3D prints. I print in ABS and PC a lot at work and these work like a charm. I am a bit disappointed in the fact that it is more a sampling assortment than a utility assortment. By this i mean there are a ton of sizes but not many of each so its good for trying something out but you'll need to purchase a refill of anything you like. For example, there are 4 different sizes of m3 inserts but only 15 pieces of each. Vigrue loses a star though for bagging these two un-marked bags per compartment in their little organizer. Might not seem like a big deal, but i still have no idea how to tell which bag in the 1st compartment is m2x2x3.2 versus m2x3x32...

Semi-tapered heat set inserts

While these don't quite match up with the fully tapered and documented heat set inserts out there, these are certainly a step above some of the entry-level heat set inserts I got started with. While it would be nice to have suggested hole size dimensions for these various diameter and length inserts, the smooth barrel "bottom" of these inserts gives a good starting point if you're drilling a pocket for the insert or designing a space in CAD models before you 3d printer the parts. Working with these has been a lot easier for me whether I'm measuring the inserts in real life to help guide my design decisions when I'm 3d modeling the parts or even if I need to figure out what size hole to drill to use an insert for a part of a repair. While I also like the variety of sizes in this kit, the only downside with the variety is that since I use Hakko T18 style tips for my heated set insert tool - I'm not sure if I can get M6 tips. M2 upto M5 is great but there's some specialization with the m6 that I doubt I'll ever use, so would have liked to see more of the m3/m4, and/or m5 sizes offered over the m6s which would also help deal with the shared bins in the plastic box (the resealable zip bags helps keep different sizes separated some, but no labels on the bags so you still need to either measure or eyeball the sizes)

Small difference makes these easier to insert than some others.

With dozens of sources to choose from for these brass inserts you might expect them all to come from one place and be essentially the same. However I did notice a difference with these inserts that makes them considerably easier than most to set correctly. While the knurled inserts that I have used to date are all the same and have both ends of the sleeve knurled, these have one of the knurls more centrally located on the length of the sleeve, leaving a smaller, smooth body diameter on one end. This small diameter end makes the sleeve much easier to align and self-center as you insert it into the pilot hole in your part. Other knurled sleeves force you to shove the larger knurled ends directly into a small, body-diameter hole, and if you are hot-inserting into a plastic part this can result in the sleeve wandering out of alignment. With these sleeves I am able to easily cold-insert the smooth end into a plastic hole and then use just enough heat to melt the knurl into the plastic as it is seated to full depth. It's a subtle but worthwhile difference that may make the process of placing inserts easier and more precise. Recommended.

Nice assortment, includes cheap tweezers

I got these threaded inserts for 3D-printed items and small threaded wood anchors. The threads are metric and range in size from 2mm to 6mm. Machined quality is excellent. The assortment comes in a labeled plastic bin with each size or part in its own small plastic ziplock bag. Included is a cheesy but very functional and useful pair of tweezers for removing the individual inserts from their compartments. The tweezers are very flat and can be kept inside the bin so you don't lose them. These inserts work best when used with sized heat-set insert tips for your soldering iron. A nice set can be found on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09ZNSMVZG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1.These inserts can also be used for small wooden items when you need to add some durable metal threads. Measure the diameter of the insert you want, drill a hole just slightly undersized, thread a nut onto the appropriate sized machine screw, then thread the insert up against the nut. The machine screw can then be tapped to drive the insert into the hole. Although a friction fit will suffice in most cases, the insert can be more permanently attached with a small drop of thin cyanoacrylate glue. Just be sure not to get any CA on the threads.

Handy little set at a reasonable price

Your basic heat insert brass nuts for 3D printing. If you are looking at these, you probably know how to use them. This set has the usual assortment at a fair price.

Nice set with a wide variety of sizes

The tweezers the set comes with is not so good, but the set itself is great. There is a large variety of sizes (metric diameters) and lengths. I use these for prototype builds and for repair work where a tapping screw thread may be damaged. You can use a soldering iron to install - just place the nut over the hole you want to place it in, then push down slowly with a soldering iron to set in the plastic. Try to install in one motion, as the more you fuss around to adjust, the more you may weaken the connection of the part to the plastic.
