Zoo MedRC-32 Repti Shelter 3 in 1 Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians LG, Large- 30cm

I bought the large version for my adult cornsnake who stubbornly refuses to use a moss hide. It's quickly become his favourite hide and he's retreated to it while in blue, damp moss and all, so it's a success! As it's ceramic, the lid does not fit as well as it might if it was a cast resin hide, but the black interior makes it very attractive as a snug hiding place. It also bulges out at the bottom, so he can feel extra snug and secure by coiling into the recesses. Well designed with the needs of the reptile in mind, and easily repainted to look a bit more natural than the factory finish.

Brilliant product. My snakes (Ball Python and Hogg Island Boa) spend all day curled up in these. Only 4 stars because I think they're a bit on the expensive side.

Our snake loves his new moss box, spends most of his time during the day in their, he has so much room.

My Repti Shelter arrived today - The large one. I have no idea if the item being sold here is fake, I do know however that it is supposed to be made of resin. Nevertheless, what came marginally resembled the picture on the box, though it was made of very poor quality ceramic that was thin, fragile, and most importantly already broken!! It had a 5cm long by 4-5mm wide crack running through the base - clearly visible from the inside, but poorly disguised with paint and glue outside. It also had hairline cracks running through other parts of the enclosure. I am absolutely horrified. I have been eagerly awaiting it as my Royal has had a really bad shed in his new Vivarium due to the difficulties regulating humidity with the sheer size of it. Very, very disappointed. I wish I could have written this in the reason for return but they limit the characters. Buyers beware. This is not at all like the ones I have seen in the shops from this brand. I expect a full refund, and frankly, an apology.

I guess it wasn't as durable as strong as I had hoped, it snapped just from picking it up, has never been knocked or dropped the entire time of owning it. Guess a bit of heat and a snake moving over it is all it takes ?
