Too Many Loose Ends at the End.
First off, I wanted to give it a 3 star but I figured few would read it. I was greatly disappointed at the end because the story didn't end, but the series did. Because of cost issues there wasn't a Season 4 to tie up numerous story lines. The first season was very good. Starting at season 2 thru 3 the writing wasn't very good. It seems like they took turns loosing common sense multiple times in each episode getting themselves into trouble. You could see it coming and shout at them. In the last two seasons there were about six good episodes with a good story line. The actors did very well despite the writing. They bonded well over the 3 seasons. Other than what I just said I did enjoy it because Arthur Conan Doyle was the basis. There were no subtitles if that is important.

Thrilled to have this on DVD
I have been looking for this on DVD for a long time and I finally found it! First the negative: This is a bare bones release, no subtitles or any special features. The image quality is basic, maybe slightly improved over VHS. The audio quality is decent, but nothing special. Now the positive: The film company, FILM CHEST MEDIA, released this 12 DVD set without STACKING the DVD's one on top of each other! Each individual DVD is placed in it's own case, so no scratching. Thank God someone at the company cared enough! The overall box set is well put together and looks great to me.This was an enjoyable series back in the 90's and I'm so happy to have this in my collection. I never saw the last season so I can't wait to see what happens. Thank you FILM CHEST MEDIA for this release. If anyone from the company is reading this please think about releasing on DVD "Land of the Lost" (1991-1992). Fingers crossed.

Welcome release but not as good as the original release from IMAGE
This is a welcome release from Film Crest Media but quality is not as good as the original IMAGE DVD release years ago. For one the original IMAGE release has noticeably better video. What disappointed me most was the audio seemed to be badly mixed and seemed to be in MONO. The original IMAGE release had the option of Dolby Digital 5.1 (or genuine Stereo) so this was badly missed. On a lighter note for which most consumers won't care or even miss unless you are a purist but the original ending logos and music at the very end are missing (i.e. Coote/Hayes, Telescene, etc)If I didn't own the original releases would I still buy this one? Sure, I would. I love the series and did buy it for the original Pilot that was missing from the Image release but still can't give it 5 stars. The price certainly was right.

If you're a gamer watch this cause so much fun and adventure in just 3 seasons
This series is so much fun. Campy, cheesy, scantily clad jungle woman, Amazon's dinosaurs. So much pulpy goodness crammed into a fun filled show. Every episode is like a fantastic fun filled adventure game of pulp dungeons and dragons. If you're a gamer or DM. Watch this series, buy this series for inspirational goodness
