It's a great multi-tool, but unfortunately non-functional as a can opener.I bought this because it was "Amazon's Choice". Now I know that designation is worthless.I haven't been able to open a single can with it. I run it around the can multiple times, but it doesn't cut through completely. And there is nothing on the can opener adequate for prying the lid off. All the other side-cut openers I've seen have a mini-pliers to grab the lid. Not this. Honestly, using this to open a can feels dangerous. And it's quicker to use my pocket knife!The other features work well though. It pops the pressure on a jar no problem. And it works on 2 liter bottles nicely. I may hold onto it if there's room in my drawer next to the new can opener I just ordered.

This is OK but not super easy to use. I find it a bit hard to turn. The Pampered Chef one, although double the money, is much easier to operate. Depends on what is more important. It does the job.

Only thing I am disappointed in is this opener is hard to turn for me. I am a senior citizen and have arthritis, so will have to go back to my electric. But it's good back up if the electricity fails us. I do like the fact that there are rounded edges when it's opened the can though.

This opener only open can smoothly for the first couple of months. After that cam tops would only come apart some of the way.The crank is smooth but the magnet has never worked. I don’t think these are meant to last long as the durability and longevity of use seem lacking.This was not worth the money

Best can opener I have ever owned. I had a a different side cutting can opener in the past that was bigger, more complicated, and eventually broke. This can opener is super simple and leaves no sharp edges. Should also work on removing quick top ends for people that don't like the pull tabs.

I've had the same type of can opener before, from the Pampered Chef, and loved it. This one, however, was stiff and hard to turn from the start, and never loosened up like I'd hoped it would. Worse, it stopped working after less than a year, essentially not cutting the lid open anymore - like the blade was blunt.The write-up says that they offer lifetime satisfaction, and to contact them with any concerns - but there's no contact information, and I can't find their website. Too much hassle for a can opener. Just don't take the chance.

I bought this in 2017 and initially liked it well enough. Getting the hang of placing the cutter part on just the right place on a can took a little while, and the turning apparatus was pretty stiff from the get-go. I liked that it was lightweight convenient to hang from our kitchen shelf with an S-hook.It's never been treated roughly or even through a cycle of the dishwasher, but a month ago, the handle broke across the middle while I was opening a heavy can of diced tomatoes. The break was sharp and diagonal, and I was lucky I didn't impale my hand on it.It's opened a lot of cans in 3 years, so I'll give it 3 stars, but I would not buy this again.
