Initial review was negative, but problem is fixed by XTAR Customer Service!
The media could not be loaded. EDIT: 9/26/22 - When I received this charger it worked for two charging cycles and then developed a flashing screen and stopped charging. I reached XTAR customer service and they diagnosed the problem as not having powerful enough charger. Initially, I was skeptical, because I was already using Anker 3.0 charger. However, their customer service offered to send one of their own charging blocks. I was burned before with on-line purchases and was ready to give up on this charger, altogether. Nonetheless, I thought it was gracious of the CSR to send a charging block at no charge. It arrived very fast (within 7-10 days) and the battery charger is back in business!. Thus, I changed my review back to 5 stars. I hope the charger will continue to work as well as it is now. I guess, Anker 3.0 could not pull enough wattage and this created a problem. My recommendation for future buyers is to get battery charger in packaged deal with XTAR USB-charging block as they work very well together. Shout out to great customer service by XTAR - it is rare to see this anymore!Original review (9/12/22)I have used Xtar single battery charger and Xtar light in the past, was happy with both, so had high expectations for this product, especially “newly upgraded “ version. Charging 4 batteries at once and being able to check capacity sounded great. Well, the product worked all but twice. After that the unit stopped working. The screen blinks uncontrollably and disconnecting and reconnecting does not fix a problem. Changing a charging block does not help. The most disappointing part, of course, is a lack of customer service. When I contacted XTAR, the first reply suggested that I maybe using the wrong charging adapter. So I checked the specs on it, but I am already using an 18W QC3.0 adapter as suggested by manufacture. So when I replied with this response, XTAR thanked me for feedback…Well that was a big disappointment.Be aware, the product is not returnable past 1 month.

I love this thing bit it can be a little picky
This thing has too many features but they're all worth it. As you can see in the image I paired with it it can charge ni-mh and li-ion at the same time. It also charges different kids too ranging from aaaa to the largest 18650 type battery(I only use 18650 so don't judge my lack of knowledge for the family). It also identified worn out batteries and actually brought some more life back to them the display is simplistic but understandably so as there isn't a need for overly fancy lcd when everything can be shown with ease, even the color is just printed on.Now the picky part. There's only one thing it's picky about and it's the power quality it needs at least a decent power brick (ive had to reset it a couple times plugged i to a cheapo brick. Your pc is a definite no power wise. Not only will the charger not even try to turn on but the pc will likely say it's taking too much power. It's a wall only device but the better your brick the better it will actually work. All in all while a couple things were cheaped out on, it's well worth the money as they bulked up on the important parts.

Really happy so far
I've been using this charger for about a month now, give or take. So far it has met and maybe even exceeded my expectations. It has more features than other 4 bay chargers from more popular name brands. Such as battery storing and testing modes. It also charges much faster than my old chargers even without the recommended adapter. I also appreciate the strength of the springs, they are super smooth and aren't overly tight & strong. I don't feel like I'm going to pop a spring or shoot a battery across the room like my old charger. Or damage the wrapper on my battery and have to rewrap. Now, I just hope I get a few years out of it and I will be extremely happy with my purchase.

Upgrade comparrison from V4 (10 months and died)
First of all, these have all the functions that you'll ever need but they need to get rid of the proprietary cable. If that goes bad there's no way to test if it's the cable or the unit. Very SAD. Need USBC or a wall plug. I bought this to replace my old V4 of which I've had 3 of in the past and they last for about 2 years before they start having problems charging, which I've come to accept after having 3 V4's. They always had rubber feet on them which gripped to smooth wood ot glass surfaces very well. This new version has feet that are molded into the plastic body causing it to slip and slide on the surface by just touching it. With the new stronger springs my batteries shoot out all I’ve tthe place and this thing will not stay still unless I hold the entire unit to prevent it from sliding. I like all the new feautiees but I’m Extremely disappointed with having to hassle with it every single time I use it.The new features and screen is a nice improvement and I would give it 5 stars but I'm going to have to give it a 3 because they changed the feet which affects my daily use of the unit and it's just so frustrating and stupid why they would make this unit worse!I like the upgrade and the new display fine as well as the additional space they've added between bay 2 and 3 makes it much easier to remove the middle batteries. But, the feet on the bottom are different from any of the previous chargers, they've changed the little rubber feet and replaced them with some regular hard plastic and they don't grip to any surface unless you have a rubber top table. The unit slides around so easily and makes if feel like a cheap piece of plastic on my table, and makes it difficult put batteries in or take them out. it just slides around, such a bummer.I would have thought with all the improvements from its V4 predecessor they would have kept nice and grippy rubber feet.
