These pads are good for any kind of list. Fit easily into a pocketbook. The back is sturdy so you can write without having to look for a place to lean. The top bound spiral allows you to keep several lists at the same time. Great value.

The notepads are ok, but they are not the ones pictured. These are generic plain white covers with none of the helpful text on the covers of the ones as advertised for cataloging them. Other than that, they are fairly sturdy and the pages are wide lined as described.

I like these. So far they seem the best replacements for the original yellow reporter's notebooks from Stationers Inc. The cardboard covers on these are not as thick as the Stationer's notebooks and the line spacing is different.

I used Portage Notebooks everyday for over 20 years while in the newspaper business and found them indispensable. They are a great & easy way to record and save written information. I prefer the 11/32"-ruled version to the 1/2"-ruled as they offer more lines per page. The spiral binding at the top makes it simple to flip the page and continue on the back side. Easy to tear off the page if needed. The thicker card stock for the front & back covers keep the pages well protected. The overall size fits nicely in a coat pocket, purse, computer case, etc. Now that I am retired, I continue to use these handy notepads for everyday things I need to keep track of, such as, jotting notes while on the phone, grocery lists, billing info for my freelance work, etc. A great product from a great, reliable company. This item is exactly as described, a useful notebook and a brand that we have used at the daily newspaper where I used to work. It fits in your back pocket, there are plenty of pages, and they're thick enough that ink doesn't bleed through. Be careful turning the first few pages, because they want to stick and could rip out, but that's manageable. I wish I had paid attention to the "wide ruled" part of the description. The lines are half an inch apart, like one of those elementary school composition books. These are pretty much regular notebook paper in this size. The back it a tad stiffer, but I wouldn't say it is stiff enough to write on for long without a book or something under it. However, it meets my needs for lists and notes. I will order these again when I run out.

Great value for the price, works perfectly for what I needed: a "field notebook" to carry around for work. Make sure to read the description when picking sizes-the lines in the wide ruled version were much too big for my purposes. The seller was super helpful and responsive.
