Q: anyone use this with linuxcnc?

Yes, this breakout board works fine in Linuxcnc. I'm currently using it on my CNC router build. I have a MESA 7i92 using the two 5 axis BOB config flashed to the 7i92 available directly off the Mesa website on the 7i92 page under support archive downloads. There's a pncconf guide on the Linuxcnc forums instructing exactly how to set this up in the configurator. It's a great budget board. Saves you some $$ by not spending on an expensive Mesa daughter board.

Q: Also. i just noticed a jumper on the pcb... what is it ? mfg needs to supply documentation.......

The jumper is for using the relay or using pin17 as B axis direction one or the other. Check that grounds are common on this board as many are not and need to jumpered to each other. A manual can be found by looking for an ST-V2 breakout board from Stepper Online. Nice little board once you know how to connect it. Good Luck.

Q: how big stepper motor can be run? ie AMPS??

This board does not power the motors directly. I only provides digital signals to the motor driver. You can chose the right size motor driver for the motors you want to use.
