One blade has a micro-serrated edge that makes it easier to use.
When removing sutures it’s important (and a lot easier) to use scissors that grip the suture material that you’re cutting. Only a pair of scissors with a micro-serrated edge can do this. They’re easy to use as long as you remember to use them with the serrated edge up, smooth edge down, to easily slide under the suture loop you’re cutting. The serrated edge will grip the suture as you cut. All of the disposable suture removal sets are “kiddy scissors” in comparison. If you remove sutures on a regular basis, these are the best you can find. I recommend that you use a Adson-Brown tweezers with these.

Not serrated on one side
I ordered this product twice because my friend said they work very well. My first order I was left unsatisfied with the performance so thinking that maybe I happen to receive a bad one, I ordered another because they are reasonably priced but the 2nd one was just like the first. Neither one felt serrated nor did it cut smoothly, the blades would flex and separate when using on the softest items.

these dont cut anything heavier than paper. not even thin cloth. the blades just flex apart.

Idk what the other person is cutting but these are surgical scissors they're not for cutting hard objects or even paper.They work very well. Very sharp.
