(Pack of 4) Antique Brass Bi-fold Knob with backplate

In April of 2018, I bought a set of 4 of the nickel finish knobs and they were great. A week ago I decided to replace all the knobs in the bifold closet doors at my place, and the new batch of knobs is not finished properly: (1) there bumps (hopefully apparent in the photo attached to this review) and (2) you need to clean them as they come with a black residue. And you will have to wash your hands afterwards. In brief, to the manufacturer and vendor: please finish the product properly.That said, I am still installing them because they have more surface in contact with the door (and bifold doors are not made of high quality materials, so the bolts tend to "crunch" the material). In the back, I use a plate to protect the door. The combination results in pull knobs that feel solid.

We have a Pulte house built in the early 2000s with contractor-grade bi-fold doors. Our original knobs were an ugly bright brass with a circular backplate that had dug into the hollow core door. I standard drawer pull would not cover the damaged door, and trying to spray paint the original knobs only resulted in the paint rubbing off. I considered adding standard door size dummy pulls but wasn't sure if it would look odd. These pulls were the only ones I could find that were exact duplicates of my original pulls, but with a more updated color. They came with long screws that easily matched the depth of my door and the circular backplate fit perfectly where my old one did. Love the color and feel. If you are looking to replace a similar style knob, this was an easy and affordable way to update your decor.

The bifold doors at my new house came with wooden knobs (meh!) but I wanted something a little nicer that would coordinate with the rest of the doorknobs in the house, which are brushed nickel. These knobs and backplates appear to be of a high quality, and are very easy to install. The price is good too....I would definitely order these again.

I looked at another brand of this item and decided to go with this one, even though it was a bit more. I was not disappointed! This consists of two pieces, so you do have the option of using just the knob (I didn't) but also came with a 2 inch screw in addition to a 1 inch one. This is huge, as you really do need the large screw for most of these doors. The finish is beautiful and really dresses up the place (I bought the house with the cheapo plastic knobs you see in the photo). I definitely recommend them. You won't regret it!

I love these knobs. I bought other knobs at a local hardware store and they turned around every time you touched them. And I have grandchildren so you can imagine all the fingerprints I was constantly cleaning up around the knobs on a weekly basis. This solved my problem. Not only are they beautiful but they are very durable and look great on all my bi-fold closet doors. The handles are durable, easy to grab and pull. They don't move around when you use them and no more cleaning around knobs on my doors!!! Oh and did I say I love these?? To me they were worth the cost. I ordered 12 knobs (3 packages of 4) so I have a few extra for that just in case but I'm doubting I will need them because they are very durable and well made. The brushed nickel is perfect and matches my other knobs on the inside doors in my house. Happy customer here!!! Thank you!

The backplate was described as being 1 3/4 inches across but actually measures 1 5/8 inches across. This was too small to cover the damage from the previous knob and backplate, which I purchased these to replace. In addition, neither of the screws provided were long enough for my standard-sized bifold door. Returning.

These knobs with back plate are SO hard to find at big box hardware stores. And when you do find them they are single pack and crazy expensive. I recently needed 16 for an older house remodel (folding closet door pull replacements) and found these convenient 4 packs very reasonably priced and exceptional quality. The packet also includes 2 screw lengths to insure proper fit no matter the door thickness or decision to use with or without the back plate. They provided a modern and upgraded look.

I only needed four replacement knobs in satin nickel. They looked nice and fit well. However, once of the knobs has a large rough spot on it, which I feel whenever I open the door. I am not going to order 4 more when I only need one without the flaw so I guess I'll live with it.
