A great desktop fan for use in the warmer months.
I bought this to sit on the desk in my bedroom to keep me cool while I work, but also so i can point it at my bed for when I'm sleeping in the summer. The design and build quality of this fan is excellent - I have been using it for a couple of years noe and had not a single problem. The noise level is fairly quiet and constant which doesnt distract during work and actually helps me sleep. The power of the fan is great with the high and low settings being purposeful for different situations. It has a great degree of rotation too which helps keep the room well ventilated during warmer weeks/months.I always reccomend this fan to friends when they tell me its too hot to work or sleep!

An effective fan,but noisier than similar products.
The fan is effective and has good airflow, but no remote control option. Personally,I found having contols at bottom of the fan inconvenient. Others may be perfectly happy with the location, the fan is light enough to carry or lift up to access the controls. The mains cable is a good length and the fan is really quite effective. A remote control option would be useful. The instruction leaflet for Dr Prepare fan is extremely basic and in small print,as if they wanted to save paper.I was not impressed . Another manufacturer,Keplin, make a similar tower fan.The Keplin fan comes with a remote control device and better timer options too. In addition ,the instruction booklet is full sized and carefully laid out. For an extra £5.00 the Keplin tower fan is a better buy. Many people will find the Dr Prepare adequate for their needs and not mind the noise when in operation.

Perhaps Tower Fans Just Aren't That Good?
This is the second tower fan I have bought and returned in the past couple of years. Firstly, if anybody from a fan company is reading this. Where are the 20" tower fans? I want a tower fan for my desk because frankly standard fans are usually ugly and take up too much desk space. It seems as though tower fans are either small or massive and nothing in between.Regarding the DR. PREPARE tower fan. Firstly, the airflow was adequate. I could certainly feel a decent coolness (baring in mind I used the product in March so the temparatures were not all that hot). Despite that, the airflow was OK, I don't think you'll ever get the same air as from a standard open fan but it was noticeable. However my biggest issue was the noise. I expected for some reason that tower fans would be less noisy. If they are, this fan isn't a great example because I couldn't put it above the first setting without the noise becoming an issue. This is the main reason I returned it. My second issue was the dial that is used to control the settings. One side is static and goes from 1-3 and the oscillating settings are on the reverse going from 3-1. Annoyingly when you want it to oscillate on the first setting, you have to turn the dial right while the unit is trying to rotate which often means having to hold the unit steady with one hand as it is rather light and could tip over. This is an issue with the controls being a dial rather than standard buttons and the fact it's positioned at the bottom. The unit itself is quite smart but the issues with the controls and the noise meant it had to go back.

Small but useful
Is good but is relevant to consider is small, so it won’t cool down big spaces (I use it next to my bed and it’s great)
