I used several calibrated hygrometer/thermometer devices to verify the operation and it is very accurate. Instead of a single temp trigger point it has an on and off temp. This is important as many seeds germinate better if there is a natural-like temperature range. Smart design too if start temp is lower than stop temp it is in heat mode. If start temp is higher it assume you are running a cooler. Same with humidity, humidify vs dehumidify.I have seen some low rated reviews. I suspect in those cases the heater is too small, trying to heat tool large a volume, or it is poorly insulated; or the heater can be too large causing quick overshoots. Similar for humidity.I am conditioning a well insulated and sealed 3x3 by 5 ft tall tobacco kiln/fermenter. I use a 750 watt heater and a .5L/hr ultrasonic humidifier. A computer type fan at the top sends air to the bottom via PVC pipe. I have 2 1 gallon glass wine jugs on the middle shelf to act as thermal masses as the hanging tobacco has little mass. This helps keep an even temp and causes the heater to cycle much less. Works like a hose!

Worked great for about 5 hatches, I have chicks set to hatch Friday and this morning the controller fried a power strip before melting down and shorting to the fridge! Use caution and have running in a common place!

My wife is a master gardener. She's really into Dahlia's and overwinters hundreds of tubers. These are very sensitive to environment, they can't freeze, but if too warm they sprout. Without the right humidity they either dry out or rot. Very sensitive. Being the good husband I'm building an environmental chamber for these. The KT100 is controlling a pair of outlets, one for a small heater (ceramic personal heater), the other for a humidifier. These go into a large chamber made of rigid foam insulation board. She hasn't used it yet over the winter, but I'm confident I can control the temperature and humidity to her specs. I tested this in the refrigerator and the controller does exactly what its supposed to do. Wish me luck, big husband points if this works well....

I have used this controller for a little over a month now. I have it wired up to a heat lamp and humidifier for my snake enclosure. I had to calibrate the accuracy at first to match my hydrometer. It has held the temp and humidity perfectly and is very easy to read. Only down side is you have to have some electrical knowledge because it comes with wires that need to be soldered or spliced to the elements you are controlling. I used some old extension cords and cut the ends off the make it work.

The thermostat literally sucks it doesn’t ever stay consistent. I’ve bought and tested ALLLOOOT of these because I love how I can set to the 10th of degree but I finally gave after so many failures and went to a different product.

I almost lost an entire growwith this pice of crap. please nobody buy this thing. It will not work. Will not hold a temperature. Its difficult to program. If you value your property don't buy this. There instructions are too vague to be understood. It flat doesn't work. Buy something esles. Don't waste your money
