Enerwave Z-Wave ZW15S Wireless Lighting 3-Way Switch, Compatible with Alexa Voice Control, NEUTRAL REQUIRED

I have never seen a more low quality product.I must have gotten a bad batch that was stored improperly or something on the way to me.I ordered 3 of these, 2 of them had 1 of their 4 screws rusted into the bolt and refused to move either way. Indeed it after examining the screw & bolt mechanism and determine the proper direction I applied a little more force to try and lose the screw only to have the screw latterly snap in half leaving its root securely in bolt which was supposed to hold the wires still open.The 3rd light switch not having any screw problems at all on any of the 4 bolts I had been able to hook it up property as instructed. It however did not function at all electronically.So I assume theses devices were stored in some kind of extreme condition on the way here causing their parts properties to be changed. Either that or I had the misfortune of getting a bad batch. Still its hard to imagine something that is suppose to be a little resilient being in a house which may otherwise lose power and be subject to natural condition being made so flimsy by any conditions as to render its parts almost worthless.Maybe i just got a bad Batch, Amazon doesn't do so well in my area of the USA, 2 day shipping is frequently 2-3 weeks shipping in reality.

Updated Review:Now that I've had this device for a few months I'm updating my review.I first had this added to a HomeAssistant Hub and it fell off of the network after being connected for months. I contacted support adn they said that because Home Assistant wasn't supported nothing they could do (annoying but I'll live with it).I was getting sick of HA so I purchased a SmartThings Hub (supported by Enerwave) and after a few months it fell off again.I also have a GE switch and haven't had any issues, it works perfectly. Buy the GE if you can, I had to buy this because it was the only black switch option at the time.Old Review:I connected this device to my smart home using Home Assistant. My biggest issue was that I couldn't rename the friendly name of this device to represent the location/use of the switch. I bought a similar GE switch (that only came in white) and had little trouble changing the friendly name of that device.

I recently got introduced into Home Automation and have amix of z-wave devices installed in my home. I have GE & Wemo switches installed and are working perfectly with my SmartThings Hub.This switch also works perfect, with no issues and was recognized by the hub instantly.I reduced 1 star just because that this doesn't comes with any wires, where as all the other switches does comes with all required wires. This REQUIRES the neutral line ( white wire ) and as most of the normal switches are not with a neutral wire, you need to find a piece of WHITE wire to connect the switch to Neutral line.Apart from that, the switch does the job and is good.

I was able to use this for a while on my old Simon panel but it was flaky and slow to respond. After upgrading to a Wink hub I was unable to get this to pair with Wink. After talking to wink support they told me this device is NOT compatible with Wink. so much for thinking z-wave certified products would work together.

Good product. Works well. Connected to Samsung with no issues. 2 things. It's a little noisy when turning on and it didn't come with a common jumper wire like some of the other manufacturers do.

Had to return it. Would not work as a three way switch.

Works just as advertised.
