I have had this fan installed for over a year now. It works fantastic. Four speeds on the motors and the lights are very bright. I had to rotate the motors because my exhaust goes out the back (not up) and that was pretty easy.

I ordered this hood for my backyard kitchen based upon my contractor’s recommendation. Unfortunately it did not fit. It was too large for my set up. I called Best of Backyard and their customer service was absolutely amazing and understanding. From the start of the return until the very end they communicated every step of the way and were very compassionate. They realized I made a mistake and they made it right. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to build an outdoor kitchen or to anyone that is looking for a great product and great customer care. I want to personally thank Best of Backyard for all the help with my order and I wish all other companies put that much care into “customer care”!!

The quality of the product is excellent but the plastic knobs fail the 2nd day of use. Not a good choice of material.

This is just what I was needing to evacuate he grill and smoker smoke. I should have installed this when I build the outdoor kitchen. The Lights also are great, I can now see the whole grill surface with out any dark zones due to the ceiling light.

UPDATE: After the first use, the #2 blower control knob is stripped and just spins around the switch shaft. Maybe cheap plastic wasn't a good idea? There are plenty of knobs with metal sleeves and set screws out there. I fully expect this vent hood to fail completely within 12 months. I *thought* Blaze was a reputable brand. If you don't already know, China's business model is based upon quality being a barrier to profit. What next? Now I have two holes in my wall cut specifically for this vent hood? We're so angry & disappointed. There's a $2,300 piece of scrap mounted on our wall.3 out of 5 stars strictly because of the cheap stainless used (China can't make stainless. Period.) Rust appeared during install on any surface touched with bare hands. The material behaves more like high-carbon steel. Two of us were removing the protective coating on the vent grates, when we finished about 20-30 minutes later, the first grate was already rusting. I've wiped everything inside & out down with a very light coat of WD40 for now.Functionally, the blowers are extremely powerful, even on the lowest setting. There should be no excuse for any smoke escaping. The lighting is nice. Dimmable would be a welcomed feature.As a reference, that grill below is US-made and 18 years old. The stainless remains free of rust. It's been exposed to SW Florida humidity it's entire life.

It is very heavy duty. It is physically 135 lbs but with the 2 separate motors it exhausts a lot of smoke. Mounted with a 2x4 on the wall to hold while anchoring then removed the 2x4..
