You want an early review then I have to say - all good so far from a fit and power performance perspective and on the face of it, looks like great value for money compared to a Dyson Original replacement, but, as with all batteries, only time will tell how well it holds charge and for how long it will perform well

The battery is a perfect fit in our Dyson V8 Animal. It is more powerful than the original, so suction and battery life are both improved, and at a fraction of the price. Cannot fault it. Highly recommended.

Battery seems well put together and works well but I wa hoping for more run time... that said, the Dyson is a power hungry tool so don't expect to do the whole house on one charge.

I was unsure about this item, how can it be any good for a quarter of the price of an original battery? Well it’s not, IT’S MUCH BETTER!!!I thought that I would take the chance and if it doesn’t work out I’ll get an original, so glad I tried this first. I have now had it for a month and even with the original, I could only do the upstairs and the living before it conked out.This battery I can do upstairs, downy the stairs, living room, kitchen, veranda and the utility room.The battery does not get hot in my experience, but it does get warm, so did the original.The charging light got me going though, while charging only the bottom light flashes until it is fully charged. Do not expect the step lighting while charging.If it last 12 months, then I can get four years instead of paying for a battery that only lasted us two.I would highly recommend this battery and would buy it again.

I bought this battery as a replacement for my Dyson V 8 cleaner. It was very easy to install and so far the battery stays charged for ages and at half the price of a Dyson branded battery I can't complain. Yes I would buy one again.

Haven't scored battery life as only now charging it. Power pack shows 21.6v, 4500mAh 97.2 Wh, original pack was 21.6v, 2800mAh, 65Wh, so this new one should be 1.5x power. Easy to fit - super choice.UPDATE - Battery fully charged, and 2/3 house cleaned and still on 3 Led lightss!! This batteryseems to be more powerful on suction, and also lasts longer - VERY pleased with muypurchase.

Beyond impressed with this replacement battery for my Dyson - my Dyson now feels much more powerful than before and I can do the entire house (and more) in one charge. Excellent product and quarter of the price!

I tested the battery after its first charge with the large motorised brush on the standard power setting. It lasted nearly 30 mins, which compares favourably with the 25 mins quoted in the Dyson manual. Very pleased with the battery so far and would have given 5 stars except that I don't know how long the battery will last before it fails. Delivery was good - arrived much earlier than the quoted date.
