I have a full and long beard big beard. I occasionally trim on my cheeks, and very occasionally on my neck under my beard, although that's not generally seen as the beard is of the length. I was looking for a tiny straight razor for fine work around the nose, and getting it all clean lined and looking squared away everywhere. This product is absolutely hands down perfect.If you do not know how to shave, then likely no razor product is good for your hands. Just the basics. You apply hot water. I do trim work, so I just hit it with the finger. The residual oil in my face just from having a hydrated beard is sufficient. If you apply oil to your beard product to your beard, you probably don't need anything here due to residuals. No need to lather up or anything. So after setting up the fairly lubricated hair with the hot water dab, you throw the clean razor in the hot water stream. Finally simply use minimal pressure to do the shave with regular rinses in the hot water. The lightest touch is the right touch. More little strokes and touches. You should not be hurting yourself at all! Super thick hairs here, so take my word on that. Just take your time, keep it hot, minimally lubricated, and apply lightest action.You can back strop this mini razor on your pants or something, but It's really not necessary after several shaves. If the blade get's too much junk on it, simply clean it without cutting yourself with dish soap or something handy. Eventually some back strops will give it more mileage, but these little mini straight razors are set up and optimal for a while. You can get more mileage than the manufacturer intended if you just care for your blade.There are some tiny "guards/standoffs" along the blade. So they help make for a more pleasant shave. Not quite what you would see in a straight razor, but perfect for a modern disposable.You have to use your brain when shaving. Just take your time and use your head. You don't take massive strokes with this, you etch like a sculptor. It's an excellent package here. Could I shave my whole face off? Absolutely, but that's not what this is for, it will have a finite life, and is not sharpenable in the same way as a traditional straight razor. I know for a fact that I could literally shave my entire beard off with a fresh one of these, lubrication and hot water without making a single scratch to my face, and literally zero pain. I have blade skills though. I'd recommend a larger blade if that's what you wanted to do, but this little guy is just perfect for the fine work.

Works well, definitely sharpened razors!!!

This is basically a straight razor with some guides but if you aren't used to this, it will cut you. These in my opinion are to be used by a barber not in the mirror on oneself.

Not sharp basically useless doesnt shave anything

First and foremost, I took these through TSA security at 2 different airports and they were fine and I was not searched any further or asked to throw them, I have TSA Pre, not sure if that made a difference but YMMV.These definitely do the job when I am traveling keeping my beard nice and tight. The biggest thing that I needed to learn and re-learn each time I use this, it is very different from my Gillette Mach 3 razors as there is higher possibility of cuts...need to hold the skin taut and tight with small passes with the straight razor (applies not only to this but to any straight razor). I usually forget and get small nicks and I am OK with that. I have used Gillette Mach 3 razors for almost 30 years and just started using straight razors and I absolutely love them for touch up and shaping, I still use Mach 3 for shaving larger areas of my face. And with these straight razors, I can take them with me anywhere I travel whereas I cannot take the straight razor with disposable blades through security.

I use these daily to get a perfect line on my mustache. Blades are sharp and easy to handle. I had to get use to shaving my own head and this works perfectly.Updated review 8/11/20The razor has recently changed in design. Notice in my picture the old razor was black and on the right of the photo. The new razor is blue and has some design features I like. The blade itself it longer which gives your more surface contact on your skin with each stroke. Thus reducing the amount of strokes you need to shave. The blade also has a built in safety guard which help from unwanted cuts to the skin. The blade is extremely sharp so use caution. The only feature I miss from the old design was the pinky finger holder on the back of the blade. The new blades have a shorter stem to hold the blade. This is not a issue just personal preference. Overall a excellent product for shaving at home. With COVID I had to learn to shave myself and this product makes its easy and gives me that barber lineup on my mustache and beards.
