Don't think I'll use Hunter default hardware again... This lil thing just works more easily for less.

Very strange that the control units did not come with mounting brackets for the remote included with my Windward IV Ceiling Fan.However, these brackets fit the remotes (I bought two fans) perfectly.

First order was faulty. LED screen would not light properly. No issues getting it replaced. Fast delivery. Directions are sad and take some fiddling to figure out what it can do. Some functions have no practical use. Natural air flow just randomly changes up speed and is distracting. Thermostat function sort of works. Basic functions work great and replaced the Hunter fan remote system that failed after a few years. Can recommend, but don’t get too excited about all the bells and whistles.

I used this to replace the one in my Home Decorator’s Collection fan from Home Depot because like all other appliances, they are designed to fail right when the warranty ends. My fan was turning off and on by itself, changing speeds etc and I didn’t want to spend another $150 and the time replacing a fan, replacing this fixed the issue. There are cheaper options, but I like the remote for this one.

Remote does what it's supposed to do, but not much else. could be a lot better with a bit of work on the vendor's part. not very friendly for use in the dark, even though is has plenty of bright lights (that only operate when you press a button, which inevitably forces you to press the wrong thing). Would prefer to have separate high, low, medium, off buttons instead of single button that cycles through fan speeds. Also single button operates fan (at full speed) and toggles light at full brightness. Light dimming is meh, not much control given and a bit temperamental to employ. Receiver is easy to install and compact, so should fit most modern fans.
