Sofft Artist Tools by GOLDEN, Mixed Sponge Bars, Pack of 4, Professional Artist Pastels

These are nice little sponges. I can think of many way in which I will use them.

Love using these sponges for applying pan pastels- it grabs the pastel nicely, and loads the sponge allowing several swipes to deposit the pastel which goes on silky smooth- Will order more for sure

These are firm and pick up the pan pastel medium very well. From videos that I have seen of the pan pastel demonstration, I decided to purchase this set because it contained two of the foam shapes that the artist found most useful in her work. What I did not know was that the purchase of this pack was superfluous since two of these sponges came in the 10 pack pastels set that I had purchased. The information on that product was not clear, and it appeared that the pans of media were all that was included, not any applicator tools. So keep that in mind if you are thinking to purchase these along with a set of the pastels for the first time. You'll always find a use for these, but they may not be an immediate need if you are getting the pastels in the same order.

Great includes all the sizes

These are great for stenciling. Makeup sponges would work, but only if you can find firm ones. The makeup sponges I've bought have no body, they're like air. I end up with more paint on my fingers than on the canvas.All of the Sofft Sponges are made for art, and they work really well. They're worth the money.

Expensive, but very useful

Product is great for pan pastel just as it is described .

They work well, but are pricy. I find I don’t have enough, and wash them often. The small sponges that slip onto a handle tear up quickly, with light use.
