THE Magic Poco Album
Though Pickin' Up the Pieces is a great record, this album was the first to put the rock in country rock. The music is in full technicolor, like the oranges on the cover! The production values (thanks to Jim Messina) were unbelievable when it came out, with Timmy Schmitt's bouncing bass much fuller than anyone else's, and George Grantham's drums "right there" kickin' inside your head. Rusty Youngs' pedal steel sounds alternately like an organ-on-acid or like Clapton on an arc-welder. Then there's Richie Furay's perfect voice and the harmony! As good as the individuals were, the sum was more than the parts. This band invented "tight". Hurry Up and Anyway Bye Bye are all-time classic songs, and Don't Let it Pass By is one of the most beautiful. I turned half of New Jersey on to Poco with this record in 1970, and it still sounds great today. (By the way, if you like this one, there are a few songs recorded at about the same time that never made it to vinyl. They're on "The Forgotten Trail" cd and they'll blow you away.)

Best Early Lineup Poco CD
If you like early Poco music then this album is probable there best with the early line up including Jim Messina. This is there second album and is a bit Jazzer then the first. Not all the tracks are that good but the ones that are good I would rate as great. One of my favorite is You Better Think Twice. Of the few songs which Messina sang this is his best with Poco. The music is somewhat dated but never really gets old with me. It's too bad that Jim Messina left the band so early, he added so much to that early sound. I saw the original Poco lineup back in 1970 at the old Fillmore East in New York City, one of my favorite concerts, so much energy and a real crowd pleaser.

Poco is Always a delight
Poco is always a delight for mindless, happy 70s country rock. The guitars twang, the drums skip and bang, the bass runs, and the harmonies fly. This album certainly has some classics. I bought it for my mom, because she loves the song "You Better Think Twice" which she has played so much, I curse the day I bought it for her. Why, Amazon, must you have made this available to me. My life would be so much brighter without it.Anyway, great album, great vocals, great guitar, great songs, cool cover. I like it.An Iguana is eating my face.

Perfection of Poco
To me, this album is where it all started after the end of Buffalo Springfield and prior to CSN&Y, Loggins & Messina and the Eagles. This album set the stage for many of the early bands style such as the Eagles, and many more. Although Neil Young had left the band, these musicians play with such great enthusiasm together, singing, harmonizing and play knockout music. This has to be one of my most favorite Poco albums to date. I always recommend Poco, especially in their earlier days.

Four Stars
Great Country-Rock group of the 70's. Their best album, in my opinion(vinyl).

Finally found it!!!!
I've been looking for this album on DVD for years!! Finally and amazingly found it on Amazon. I'm not crazy about supporting Amazon because they kind of kill small businesses and overwork their employees, but damned if they didn't have this DVD! Haven't been able to find it anywhere else.Found the album but can't fit the turntable into my cars' dashboard stereo. Thrilled to be able to listen to this in the car on long trips. Poco brings back lots memories.
