Lucas was such a part of my childhood growing up in Chicago & I was craving chamoy. It’s impossible to find in most of the country. Now that I’m an adult this made a perfect margarita rim. Thank you so much!

I grew up in Southern California and now that I live in Boston, I miss all the Mexican treats that were so commonplace in my youth. I remember eating many of the Lucas powdered candies while riding on the bus to school. Unfortunately, many of those have been discontinued, but some of them live on.The flavor of these is a combination of sweet, salty, and just a smidge of heat. I find them to be delicious, but if you aren't fond of chamoy-flavored candies, this isn't for you.Two tips: First, shake the container before eating. Sometimes the ingredients can layer out and you'll get too much salt or sugar and throw off the flavor profile. Second, don't just put this onto you hand and dip a moist finger in it. Just tap some directly into your mouth. It'll keep your hands clean and unlike many other powdered mexican candies, this one has a built is system for dispensing the candy.Enjoy!

I love this stuff..actually I'm addicted to it and can't buy it too much because I feel it is dissolving my teeth (and bones probably). But it is the most pronounced apricot tasting candy I can think of, the salt and the chili added to it meld together to dance an apricoty sweet n' salty tango across your pallet that is like no other candy you've ever had. I love the "gritty" texture of this candy aswell. I think you're meant to sprinkle it on cut fruit but I like to shoot it straight in my mouth.
