100 Postcards from Austen to Zola

My rating is a combination of the quality of the product as well as personal feelings towards itPros:*Pictures are pretty authentic looking*Sturdy and thick cardstock; able to use a sharpie with no bleed through*Comes in a very nice box that's made to look like a bookCons:*The side you write in has several different formats so if you write postcards in bulk (like I do), you have to adjust constantly.*5 of the cards feature nude or bare breasted women. This is a con to me because I purchase postcards to send to people to encourage them to vote and that doesn't necessarily help convey the message I'm trying to send.I'm honestly not sure if I'll be purchasing them again but only because of my purpose in purchasing postcards

This set of 100 Penguin book covers arrives in a sturdy box, with a ribbon to help get the cards out. As I’d expect, a small number are plain, such as Goethe’s “Faust”. But if you want to promote a discussion of “Faust”, then the lack of an illustration on the cover isn’t important.Other cover illustrations vary widely, from an eye-catching black & white graphic for Oscar Wilde to a lovely blue tinted watercolor of “Moby Dick” (though I wonder if the illustrator knew of what he was illustrating – it was a white whale, after all!), wood-cuts, medieval paintings, photography and more.The books don’t have to be originally English, just translated into English. So, for example, you have the cover of an Ibsen and a Pushkin, Buddist Scriptures and Japanese No Dramas. Even a Nietzsche (whom I would pay to not have to read again).The postcards are of nice quality and average thickness, each 3 7/8” x 6” in size.A nice addition to my postcard inventory.Happy Reader

Post cards arrived tooday! They are in a sturdy box and the cards are good quality. The print is very pretty. I will be purchasing these again!

Not all of these are widely-recognized books, but they are all cool-looking cards and the price is right.

Too many obscure books I don’t know. They’re also just scans of book covers, some old, so they’re kind of ugly.

Good purchase for the price.

Fun variety, great artwork. The possibilities are endless to use to brighten someone’s day or use for artistic endeavors.

I have three bookcases that face the sun and these postcards make an effective and attractive screen to protect my books. I have also bought the New Yorker postcards from Amazon for the same purpose.

Superb, plugging them all over an ugly door.
